Chambord= Expensive French Black raspberry Liqueur ( thick and sweet)
Kirsch: Cherry liquor (strong, twice the proof of Chambord)
Chambord can be found in any well stocked liquor store, in it's characteristic globe shaped bottle.
Kirsch, the same, but it's usually clear and is used (for the most part) in cooking. Enjoy!!!
BTW, a bottle (375 ml) of Chambord is about USD $17 this time of year, I know because I just bought 3 bottles for Christmas gifts......Enjoy!!!

Kirsch wasser is unaged (clear, not brown) cherry brandy from Germany. You can substitute any unaged brandy. Grappa from Italy. Plum brandy from Hungary. Whatever. (BTW, brandy is liquor distilled from wine.) Just ask in a liquor store whether they have kirsch or any other clear, unaged brandy. If you're really in a pinch and can't find any of these, substitute a port, sherry or Marsalla.

Kirsch is the german word for Cherry Spirit. It is mainly used in bakery (in the famous 'Schwarzwälder Torte' for instance) and in Swiss Fondue (molten cheese dish).

There is another wine called Bonny Doon Framboise that is very similar to Chambord. I use it vs. Chambord.
