Her Uncle Butch has a Swastika tatoo on his arm and he is from Georgia. When she and I went to visit him he jokingly asked if I was a member of any Klan or wanted to join one. She later told me he is a member. Do I quit dating her??

If having a bad family is a reason you're willing to use to break up with a girl, that's sad. It shouldn't matter, all that matters whether you love her. [That, and if she's in a Klan or not, your preference]. It's like if you dated someone who's third cousin twice removed or something, does their beliefs really affect how you feel about her? It shouldn't matter. Only quit dating her if you don't want to for personal reasons, not the beliefs of her family.
Basically, as long as you like her and her beliefs, go out with her.

You know, the way you initially worded that I thought you were dating her AND her uncle, so I naturally thought a Springer show was about to erupt. Actually, there's no need to stop dating her because of her uncle unless you feel threatened beyond your ability to handle the situation. I mean, if he sat there and talked to you, how bad can it be?
Hey, Brother Otter, it's all good. We southerners know there's more to us than these fleeting remnants from the past. There's nowhere I'd rather be than the south!

Your dating her not her uncle. If you want ask her and see what she thinks about her uncles beliefs, if she agrees then thats a red flag for you to move on from her. Sadly these things are still going on. but dont let it affect yuor relationship

You're dating her, not her uncle. If he asks again, be respectful and change the subject.

And, being from the South, I am really sad and ashamed to hear that this sort of thing still goes on.

Your dating the GIRL, not her uncle. Why should she be punished for something that her uncle is involved in? Would you like it if she dumped you for something that your family was into?

If you like her, then i do not see why you have to leave her. I mean you are going out with her, not her uncle.

Ummmmmmm, I would run really fast and change your name. Either that, or you can remind him that the South lost. haha That would be funny!
