James 4:7 "Resist the devil and he will flee." If you are resisting and something is still "holding on to" you, it might not be the devil. Get help from a counselor or spiritual advisor, somebody who's spirituality you trust. The problem might be emotional or psychological and not spiritual at all.

Yeah, go to therapy and start to understand yourself. You also have to discover what God want's for you. It's not written down anywhere and no one can tell you. You have to discover it, and it isn't that easy to find sometimes. Consider the possibility that what you think God wants for you and what you think your life should be may be wrong or at least need some adjustment. Some people will tell you they know God and what God wants for everyone. Don't listen to these people. Nobody knows God perfectly and everyone's relationship with God is special and unique. God will talk to you in a little bit different way then he does with other people. And the messages are subtle and tough to get sometimes. I don't know why God does it this way but it seems that's the way it works.
If you're not happy now you may have a lot of emotion holding you back from the things you want to do. You may not be very aware of what's going on in your heart, and you are doing all of these things, and you don't understand why you're doing them. This is where therapy will help you.

The closer you get in your walk with God, the closer satan tries to step in and take over. Make sure that you are doing the right things. Like, spending time in prayer, tithing, helping others, worship weekly at church, read your Bible and try to stay focused on God. I know this sounds so simple, but you must be steadfast and not waiver. God never promised us that our walk with him would be easy. God wants to give you your best life and you must keep your eyes fixed on him. If you have a prayer language be sure you excercise ti frequently. It is a great weapon against Satan, b/c he can't understand your personal prayer language with you and God. Be Blessed and stand firm.

I am not going to go into the details ....of my personal walk and experiences(and what i am still experiencing)but the answer to your question"does anyone else ever feel like this?"The answer is YES.And i need to tell you this will never end. What i mean is satan trying to thwart God's plan for your life, him trying to discourage you, tempt you into disobedience and evil...all of this he will continue to do,and God warned us of this. But remember the Holy Spirit in you guarantees us victory over EVERY ONE OF SATANS Darts AND TACTICS.Satan came to steal kill and destroy.Steal your peace, courage ,security in Christ, kill you,if he was allowed ,he would...all humans would be dead,if he were allowed to do what he wanted. He hates us because God loves us so much. And he wants to destroy every good work and good gift God has for us.Choose now,at this moment and every morning you wake...will you believe God's word and all His promises for you...or will you beleive satan's lies?Remember satan is ONLY capable of LIES.Just lies...no truth is in him.Don't fear or be discouraged anymore,my friend...because the fact you posted this question at all is proof you are born again...and NOT THE SAME PERSON YOU USED TO BE.If the holy spirit was not in you ,you would not care ,you would not have concern,(about your spiritual life and relationship with God)You would never have posted this question.SO remember always...stay in fellowship at a good Bible teaching church,be encouraged by other believers who love Jesus.Remember you are God's child, satan can not do one thing to change that...not ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!God bless you.

Resist the Devil and he will flee! Use spiritual exercises like seeing a ball of light in your minds eye, all around you and protecting you. Use the Power of the Spoken Word, and ask out loud for God to guide and protect you.
They say the things Jesus said in the Word are very powerful.
Like "Get behind me Satan!" Or "Hold your Peace!". "Peace. be still!"
Once negativity digs in, it will take more than one prayer to get rid of it. It takes a sustained effort. Do these things every day. As things are going to get hairy very soon!

Its not Satan.

Most of us have experienced a point in our lives where we didn't like the person we had become. And for those that have experienced this in the extreme, our greatest fear is that we will become that person again.

I don't know the person you were, or what you've been through, but its time to leave the past in the past and focus on your future. Good luck.

The Lord will give you strength. He will never make you face any temptation that you can't resist. Others are suffering the same things as you. There will always be people (all the atheists here) that will try to bring you down, but stand strong and pray when you feel weak.

Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and pray. Don't give so much credit to satan. If you are a born again believer in Christ, greater is He that is in you (God) than he that is in the world (satan).

If you are not a born again believer, you will be a sitting duck for satan and his ploys. Confess your sins, accept Christ and follow Him. Nothing is more powerful than the name of Jesus Christ.

That's temptation. The best thing to do is pray to God and ask Him to free you from satan.
