blondbosserman: Such kindness is less common than some of us would like to think. Your religion is your business, and I support you 100% in whatever you want to believe. The fact that I do not share your beliefs does not mean that I don't respect them. To the best of my knowledge, you've never tried to push your beliefs on me, and that is much appreciated as well. My best wishes to you for a happy holiday season. *bows*

The best way to conquer your enemy is to make them your friend : )

A Quote by Abraham Lincoln:
Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?

Some food for thought : )

Depends on the enemy, the situation, what resources you have, what constraints you have, everything. If you just don't have any mercy or remorse, then you have more options.
If your enemy is another country, then the most efficient way is thermonuclear devices. If it is an individual, then two in the head. Everything depends. Give me a specific situation, and I can tell you.
My answer has nothing to do with religion. It's purely a question of sound military tactics and strategy, applied to specific situations.

Try to turn them into friends or at least people who you can share a mutual respect for. If this does not work, then just ignore them. If they harass you then get creative and throw ethics to the wind. As you once said, some people don't deserve to live. I'm not condoning murder. Some forms of retribution are worse and even legal.

It doesn't matter how technology has "improved" the inerrant word of God tells us in Hebrews 13:7-9 the following: "7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein." Since Jesus Christ never changes we should not change any of our core beliefs or practices of our faith. My faith is much more than a religion, it is my belief system. Hebrews 11:1 gives us the definition of faith: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I don't have to SEE to believe, my faith lies in Jesus Christ. gatita_63109

In Dion Fortunes "Psychic Self-Defense". She says if someone has put a hex on you, to go to a Funny Movie and LAUGH!
I've also heard that we can ask God to Bless Them. This bounces the negative energy back at them in a positive way. As it will teach them a lesson.

On my own I'm a subtle person, I generally feign nice to people I consider as threats to me and keep them as close as possible while mentally cataloguing weakness and strength. I'm kind of weird like that though.

The general approach from my religious community though is to joust dragons openly with logic, including a list of sources ten feet long and sources as to why they are the best sources.
I <3 heathens. :D

I dunno about "eliminating" I don't believe in killing unless my person is directly threatened and I rarely win anyone to my side. Anyone who thinks they have no enemies is delirious anyways, you get rid of one and that act creates 10 more.

The most effective way to eliminate an enemy is to love them. One of two things will happen. Either they will respond to the love and no longer be your enemy or they will not want to be around you and leave you alone. Either way, the problem is eliminated.

the most effective way to eliminate enemies is to become better than them

2007-12-13 08:53:02 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

My only "enemies" are those that seek to harm or injure people and themselves. However it is their own immoral actions that will be their undoing so there is no need for me to "eliminate" them.
