your cat may be constipated, or under distress right now.

Definatley call the vet, and they will tell you to bring the cat in,

they may want to see what's going on.

take care!

hope your cat feels better!

Get a warm wet cloth and stroke the kittens belly. This will simulate the mother cats cleaning which will help the kitten use the bathroom be it liguid or solid in it's system. And for safety measures. Keep a notebook/chart of this kittens urinary or bowel movements. (Don't You hate sarcastic people on here!) I've sent in a question once and some people are just so friggin rude. Hope this was helpful!

Are you feeding them cow's milk? If so, please stop right now and buy a kitten milk replacer like KMR. Cats can't digest cow's milk properly. Like everyone else said, get a warm paper towel, cotton ball, etc. and massage their anus to get them to defecate. If you are still having trouble, put a little bit of Karo syrup in their milk (only about a drop or so) and let them drink it. If they still aren't defecating by morning take them to the vet and he/she can give them an enema and tell you what to do to prevent it from happening again. Good luck with your little kitties!!

He probably isn't quite ready to on his own yet. In fact, he should still be nursing. At that age, momma cats have to help the babies do a lot of things, including poop.

Try taking a damp cotton ball and very gently wiping him, something like a momma cat would wash the baby. And don't try to feed him solid food: Give him kitten replacement formula instead.

Good luck!

When the mother cats licks their rear end, she is stimulating it in order for the kitten to have a bowel movement. If the kitten is constipated, take it to the vet for care. You may need to dampen and warm a cloth and rub the rear end to stimulate the area so the kitten will have the urge to have a BM.

He might be really distressed. You should take him to the vet, only because he's so young. Moving from your friend's place to yours was likely a big stress.

If your kitty had a buildup of poops, he would be very sensitive around his belly and back. When my kitten had a urinary tract infection, she would attack you if you petted her anywhere near her hind legs. So, this is one way you can tell.

It also depends on what you're feeding your kitty.

Its 3 weeks old. It isn't eating "real" food yet.
Do you poop if you don't eat?
