No it wasn't. Everything from the cheating scandal in Daytona to not being able to qualify for about half of the races, and not having any (along with Toyota in general) drivers finish in the top 35 in owner points. Next year will still be hard for him and Toyota in general but they will rise up and be able to compete and some tracks but definately not all of them.

I know he had a very bad year from race 1, But he has only won 4 races in 20 years of driving. So 2008 could be a little better than 2007 but not by much!!!!

No this wasn't his year but you had to expect that. To own and driver for your own team is a major undertaking and not many have done it with any success. Then on top of that you add the fact that it is a new team with an unproven car and you can't hope for to much. He will be better this season now that they have a full season of notes to fall back on and JGR helping out with the info share.

I doubt Mikey himself will be any better than this yr, the cheating probably won't be there, but I do hope his driver David Reutimann has a great yr, and it would be nice to see Dale Jarrett have some good races before he retires as well. I'm sure Mikey will continue to do some good commericals, and work in the TV booth some as well, but win a race I doubt it.

the only way it can get better for him is if he gets info from the Hibbs camp... they were strong with the COT

the plan that he has for the first five races with DJ and Reutimann should work for that ride, but the 55 will be hanging by a thread just like last year

I don't think so. He'll do about the same.
Look, 4 wins in 20 years is a hella of a record, don't you think? Good god he sucks.

Honestly he cant do much worse, between cheating at Dayotna, wrecking his car and leaving the scence at home, and having one of the worst Toyota teams the only way it could get worse for him is if his wife leaves him

I have always liked Mikey. I hope he does better next year. This year was really tough for him. New team, new cars, no owner points...better luck next year.
