If you are asking if many baby girls are being aborted, the answer is yes. That's why China has 20 million more single men than women currently. This means 20 million Chinese men won't be able to find wives. It is expected to balloon to more than 30 million in the coming years. There are some who aren't thinking obviously.

Not killed so much as in the past, thank goodness. Abandoned and brought to orphanges.
I am happy to report though that China is now paying couples to KEEP their daughters and to adopt the babies out of the orphanges, so that the generation of boys now will have wives.

37 million ( according to the Chinese Govt ) and counting so far, mostly through abortion though a large percentage from neglect or murder. Indeed I saw the body of a young female baby tied up and floating down a river when I lived there. A truly horrific sight ! The most shocking thing about this was nobody seemed to care when I asked about it.
That seemed to sum up the attitude that Chinese people have of their fellow citizens.

YES!! I hired a local Ayi from a rural area while living in Shanghai. She told me she killed her infant daughter about 30 years ago by starving the baby!! Her husband & mother-in-law wanted a baby boy and they were furious with my Ayi for having a girl instead. They told the police the baby died of malnutrition as they were very poor farmers.
Later, she gave birth to a son and she managed to salvage her marriage. True but very sad and tragic indeed.

sad but true..with the one child laws they have in china alot....and i do mean alot...of infant girls are killed or abandoned,Because most parents want a son to carry on the family name or something like that
