Amphetamine-dextroamphetamine is simply the generic name for Adderal. The FDA requires that there be no difference between the generic and brand name drugs, so there should not be a difference here. However the FDA cannot account for the differences in human chemistry from person to person, though I'm sure they would like to. It is possible that you are reacting to the generic. You just need to tell your doctor and get him to make sure that the prescription indicates no generics.

Drugs.com says, "Continue taking Adderall and talk to your doctor if you have any of these less serious side effects:

* headache or dizziness;
* sleep problems (insomnia);
* dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
* diarrhea, constipation;
* loss of appetite, weight loss; or
* loss of interest in sex, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm."

You need to call the pharmacy and ask....
as for the heart irregularities, they are common when taking adderall.
