Use a moisturize preferably one containing aloe. I worked for years with a dermatologist giving ultra violet treatments for various skin conditions. Ultra violet is the part of sunshine that causes sun burn. Give it time to heal completely, that may take up to 28 days and if you have to go out in the sun make sure that you use a sunscreen of at least SPF 15, although I don't recommend going out in the sun as it can cause skin cancer (same as tanning beds) which is the leading killing cancer. The dermatologist also would, in extreme cases recommend a tepid bath with oatmeal in it to soothe the stinging.

Vitamin E oil - either in a small bottle, or a bottle of Vit. E softgels that you open & squeeze out the Vit. E. SLATHER it on the sunburn - it will accelerate healing and prevent scarring(or permanent dark areas). Get it from any drugstore or grocery store with a pharmacy.

I know this sounds weird but...
Preperation H helps take the pain out of the burn and also aids in taking the red out, just rub it on the burn. I always have a tube in the summer.

get in shower stall.....
pour VINEGAR all over shoulders and let it run down on stomach.

wait 3 to 5 minutes, and do it again.

then shower with warm water, and use a LOT of lotion..... to stop peeling.

note, it will stink, but almost immediately removes the burning sensation.
