None. I already believe in evolution with the extant proof science gives.
Yes, I'm a Christian: I'm just not a fundamentalist.

"Emile Borel and Fred Hoyle are just two mathematicians who reject evolution on statistical grounds. "
Well. They don't. It's your typical creationists crap talk.
The reason why Borel is abused is very simple. He
made a comment (for non science folks) about what
the Borel Law is. In short: An event with a chance of
less than 1 to 10^50 is impossible. Which in fact would
mean that evolution would be impossible IF THE LAW
WOULD APPLY. Well. It doesn't. It applies to random
chance events like rolling dice where time doesn't
matter. Clearly TIME DOES matter with evolution. It
would only apply if evolution would say that man
evolved from "puddle of mud" in one step. Which
no one claims as far as I am aware.

We don't care about evolution, but there is no real proof.
Remember we believe the Word of God without seeing Him.
The issue we care about is the OBVIOUS fact that is unmentionable in this post-Christian society...that the universe is His calling card.
It proves that God exists, and THAT is the issue, not whether the expanation in the bible is a parable.
It is no skin off my nose if God made the world one way or another. What matters, and cannot be passed on to the next generation, is that HE did it!
Christianity is always just one generation from extinction. The godless Communists tried to wipe it out but it only went underground!
But the people who "Trust in God" can't promote Christianity, even with the 10 Commandments in courtrooms where people swear to tell the truth on a bible, because a minority of unbelievers poisoned the well.

I could ask you the same question - just what would it take to convince you that God is real?
M'self, I had an encounter with Jesus that totally turned my perspective around (I was always taught as a child that Jesus was just a man, at best a liar, and possibly even a lunatic!), but when He changed my life, that was enough to change my mind.
So, what will change YOUR mind?
And how can you change my past? Because that's what it would take - you would have to somehow undo what God did.
By the way, it's been tried!
A few years after I met Jesus (no, not in the flesh! DUH!), I was kidnapped for my faith and went through some pretty heavy "deprogramming" and "brainwashing" techniques. Later on, upon sharing the account with a friend, she said that what I described to her sounded much like what happens to POWs to brainwash them into giving away military secrets, etc.
So, if you can do better than these "professional" "deprogrammers" in removing Jesus from my life, just say the word; but until then, nothing you say can change what Jesus did for me. I stake my life on it!
Are you so sure that you would stake YOUR life on what YOU believe? Hmmmmm.
It's amazing how that once you actually meet Someone you can no longer deny His existence!

I'd need a missing link.
Are you aware that there are no transitional fossils that reflect changes between body types? Early fossils show a few body types only. At the Cambrian period there is a literal explosion of body types -- but there are no transitional fossils that bridge the gap between one type of body and another.
Since the Cambrian, body types are very generally the same. We aren't seeing new ones. So why would evolution suddenly develop so many body different body types, then quit?
Evolution is still a theory. It's a pretty good one. But it is far from scientific fact. There are serious problems with it.
Personally, I don't much care what the mechanics of our creation are. I believe that we were put here by God, each of us created uniquely. Now, if God used evolution, if he used an assembly line, or if he baked us in the oven, what difference should it make?

You know, as a creationest I have been doing a lot of studing of this 'evidence' you talk about. Have you ever really seen it? Im going to post you a link to one of YOUR sites. You might be intrested, heres just a peice.
The human fossil record from about 2.5 to 1.0 million years ago is especially sparse — only about 50 individuals are known, many of them represented by only a single tooth or jaw fragment — and the evolutionary connections from australopithecus to homo erectus, including the evolutionary relationships between habilis, ergaster and erectus, are in dire need of clarification.
• Time spans for modern humans, Neanderthals and archaic Homo sapiens (H. heidelbergensis) have been extended back beyond accepted fossil limits to accommodate recent genetic evidence that the divergence between the Neanderthal and human lines occurred around 500,000 years ago.
By your own peoples account, the record is 'sparse' a tooth, bone fragment 50 in all.
over millions of years. I don't think that is a very good record, do you?

Evolution will never produce evidence. We can look deep into space and see inside of cells, yet, no evidence. I think it is safe to say at this point that there will be none. Evolution still requires a tremendous amount of faith.
Evolution and creation based science can make an argument for their views. I can say you're in delusion just as easily as you did.

Science does not have all of the answers. The higher in education you go you will find that actually Science has a lot that is 'missing'. Ask your professor to explain the 'Null Space', then come back here and tell me that you evolved from an Ape! Satan uses the ignorant to do his work. This world is of Satan and he thrives on those who follow him blindly!! Educate yourself and you will soon see the 'light', the Light of God!!
Catholic Crusader: 'Bingo'! You hit the nail right on the head!!
Captain Bunkum: You show your 'lack of' knowledge by your post. Explain the 'Null Space' ;-)
Jon: Your comments are contradictory. You can NOT be a Christian and believe in evolution. Sorry!! You might consider picking up the Bible and reading it and truly see 'the light'!

You have certainly stirred the pot!
It is interesting that you need to 'believe' in evolution as we 'believe' in creation.
I 'believe' that the sun will shine tomorrow. I can't prove it, but evidence over the past few years leads me to strongly 'believe' that it will and I will plan my days activities based on that.
I can't prove creation. I can show you scripture that demonstrate knowledge about science (not that the bible is a book of science) that was unavailable to humankind at that time. What the bible says about the order of creation matches what science says, what the bible says about the chemical makeup of man matches what science says, and on and on.
But, you are probably not listening right now since my 'belief' is not open to being over-ridden by your 'belief'.

Christians/Catholics do believe in evolution, at least the intelligent free thinking ones. We don't believe that it was all an accident or that our great to the 10th power grandparents were apes, but we believe in the basic principles of evolution.

By the look of Catholic Crusador's and Fireball's answers, no amount of evidence would make them reconsider their position. The are sticking their heads in the sand.
I wonder how many times CC is going to post that same strawman argument before he realizes how stupid it makes him sound.
