I love Socom but after I got my PS3 I dont know what else is similar in terms of control and shooter type. I dont even know what a 1st, 2nd and 3rd person shooter like, but I like how Socom is..
I got the 80G by the way if that matters.

Rainbow Six: Vegas and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.
1st person shooters are where in gameplay you see through the characters eyes e.g Resistance, Halo, Black, Timesplitters, Goldeneye.
3rd person shooters are games in which you see the character that you control like SOCOM and there's no such thing as 2nd person shooters.

First you can wait and get the new Socom when it comes out .. spring next year .. or .. .. umm .. what the guy before me just said !

Drake's Fortune is kinda like a guy version of Lara Croft. Good game. Played the demo .. it was entertaining. Its a good 3 person shooter game.

theres a downloadable Socom game coming out very soon
it will be released alittle later on BRD like Warhawk
its cheaper because its online only
