As long as that religion does not hurt anyone. IE human sacrifices, and poison Kool-Aid..I say you are free to believe as you wish. I hope that we can find common ground and live in peace. That goes for the non religion of Atheism also.

Americans are a very diverse bunch especially in regards to religion. our culture may have strong Puritan leanings, but we generally don't like other people telling us (especially the government) what to believe. We have no state sponsored religion as do many current European governments.
Hopefully we are tolerant of each other. I grew up in Southern California in a coastal community called Long Beach. We had more churches, temples and synagogues per person than just about any community in the USA, but you wouldn't have thought it a particularly religious town.
We all got along and would often visit each others places of worship. We had a very active chapter of the national Counsel of Christians and Jews which sponsored some wonderful multiracial and multi religious dialogs and summer camps.
Atheist, religious, non religious we all seemed to respect each other.
I am a Chritian (Roman Catholic) by the way.

I dont' think it matters whether a person is an American or not. Most people who are religious believe that theirs is the only true religion. They seldom have reason to question. I have been a Christian for 27 years, but have always questioned some of the beliefs. I am now married to a Muslim and am learning about his religious beliefs. I still have my basic beliefs, but feel that everyone is entitled to their belief system. The point of religion is "belief and faith". None of us knows the truth and won't find out until we die. We can only believe what we choose to believe.

I am an American & a Christian. True christians are tolerant of other religions. You have the right to believe what you want to believe. But the truth is, there is no other way under heaven to be saved exept through Jesus Christ. Answers that speak of Christ always seem to get thumbs down because other religions are not as tolerant of Christianity.

As an American, I wish our cultural landscape were more pluralistic and inclusive. I don't have a Buddhist temple anywhere around where I live or anything like that. There's a Unity church and a Unitarian-Universalist church, but both are just house churches with a handful of members. We have too much Christianity and not enough diversity when it comes to religion.

I think that they are just as interesting, and may be right where I am wrong. I wish I was born Jewish so I could have gone to Israel. I wish I had the faith of some of the Muslim people I know. I wish I was at peace like my frineds from the east. I wish I believed in the earth link my African friends.

According to GWB, America is nation under law, which would make it ANTI-CHRIST, not Christ-ian; For Christ is the end of the law: Romans 10:4, and our peace (not war): Eph 2. So do Americans think would be a better question. Seems they by and large believe thinking is not allowed in America... said for awareness and awakening, not for condemnation.

Grace --> Mercy --> Peace with you all. Amen.
