Your question is disrespectfully phrased. Is that necessary?

But to answer it, God made many, many, many creatures with very, very, very different body sructures. A lot of them are similar, yes. I can't even imagine why I should consider this odd, or why I should expect him to make every type of creature totally different from every other.

Maybe God just likes certain patterns and for that reason repeats them.

God made four categories of living creatures. I would expect each category to have strong similarities.

They have common design because they have a common DESIGNER.

Did you know that the lug nuts from a Chevy will fit on a Pontiac? That's because they have a COMMON DESIGNER....not because they evolved from a Honda 50 million years ago!
