I have been conversing with a Muslim and the request was made that I speak with some that have converted to Islam. Out of respect and so we can continue our conversation, I am doing just that. I posted before and got only one response. If you converted to Islam, would you please share your reasons and experiences? If you know someone that has converted, please share my question with them. (I am a devout Christian and not looking to convert, just looking to expand my knowledge, so please, no preaching.)

I was raised in a christian family, not very religious though. About 4 years ago I started learning about Islam through some friends of mine, I began to read and read and study and read, it drew me in and I was so eager to soak up more and more knowlege. As I did this, it just all began making sense to me. I used to be like most americans, thinking Islam and muslims were bad, but once i stopped listening to the media and learning the real facts about Islam, I had a total change of heart. I decided to convert to Islam, or maybe I always was a muslim by heart as I always believed the things that Islam taught, just never knew that there was an actual religion like that. It has been such a difficult time though, as where I come from, there are nearly no muslims, and my family and friends DO NOT support my decision. I have yet to get the nerve to wear the hijab, even though I know I should be and it shames me that I can't. Hopefully, as I make more friends and find a muslim community around here I can fully come out of the closet and tell everyone that I am a muslim and a true believer in Allah! At times I feel isolated and I feel like such a sinner because I can't always show my faith or speak of it, but it is in my heart every single micro second and I feel so satisfied and so happy more then ever before. Being confused about ones faith is a terrible struggle that I wouldn't wish upon anyone, and I am so blessed that I found the truth and I know where my heart rests. Inshallah, I will be able to come out and live my life freely as a muslim without ridicule, strange looks, or nasty comments. This is my dream.

I'm happy to say that no one influenced me into Islam. I simply reverted after reading the Qur'an which confirmed everything that I already believed in al-hamdulilah the five pillars and doing five prayers a day and fasting in Ramdan really attracted me as well because these are acts of worship that every single Muslim in the world does as well so even though I'm isolated from a Muslim community I'm still a part of it i know that. I do have to say however I do like Islam more than I like most Muslims

I have afriend who converted to Catholic Christianity from Islam and he is in hiding lest he be murdered by " honor-bound"Muslims.
I could not go with the full religion of Mohammed(PBUH),even though i admire much good that the 3 Abrahamic religions have in common, because I do not find the Quran an improvement over Full Torah and Full Gospel but a relapse to more primitive moralities and theologies.
I find much attractive in Sufi Muslim spiritualities but I find more in Trinitarian spiritualities which are centered on God as Eternal Love(which needs more than one Eternal Person in the absolutely one God)

I did not convert to Islam and never will. But, my pastor met a woman who escaped from Iran with her 5 daughters, because she did not want her daughters growing up under the harsh Islamic laws which are degrading to women. She asked my pastor. "Is it true that Jesus loves women? Allah hates women."
This just made me so sad for the women in the middle east.

go to www.todayislam.com, and you will get all the truth that ex priests discovered like yousuf estes,
check youtube.com, type garry miller + ahmed deedat, and you will know what happens to people when the start to look at things with open mind and let their conscious decide what is right and what is wrong. God wants us to think about the most important question, who is our creator and whom to worship, and whom not to worship.
