A "real" religion?
All religion has rules and guide lines for you to be accepted.
You have to accept god, first of all.
Secondly you have to admit that you are a sinner.
Thirdly there are few religions that don't do that.
Take agnostics for example.
Maybe atheists.
But everything has rules.
What you could do is go by local churches and see if any of the beliefs at that church fit what you believe.
And are you using this belief for the sake of having a religion?
Generally when a person isn't sure they just claim being agnostic.
That is what I did for multiple years till I was ready to accept that I didn't believe in god.
Now just find what is right for you.

There is no real religion, for all religions are based on the teachings of God, gods, or god-like figures such as Buddha. God does not make you do anything. He gives you the opprotunities to do great things and leaves the choice to you. While for some their destiny is to do the will of God, it is amazing to think of how many choices God allows us. Beleive in who or what you want.

God doesn't want us to be religious. All he wants is for us to love him and to accept the grace he gave us through his son, Jesus Christ. You can't get to heaven based on good works. Of course, if you believe in God and accept his son, then you will try to be a good person loving others as you love yourself. But religious people who think they can get into heaven by doing good works are not only wrong, they are hypocrites. No one is without sin. Thank God we don't have to be perfect.

God is love, and only love, not some bearded old man in a robe, who dictates the doings of mankind. Love does not force others to do its bidding, nor does it punish in eternal torment.
Love gives you the strength to endure hardship and to fight injustice, to oppose those who would do harm and to risk your life for others. It can have no effect on the physical world except insofar as love influences people who are able to feel it.
I believe that God is not at all what many people think God is.

God doesn't make you do anything. You have your free agency. You can't get a college degree from a high school. on Judgment day you are assigned a place according to your works. You can try the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but there is no free lunch. There are great rewards if you increase your talents but if you bury them, you are done.

Religion is not the answer.
Having a one on one relationship with God is the real thing.
Having faith in Jesus Christ is the real thing.
Religions have done much to harm the real thing God has intended.

Finding out what you believe in, or don't believe, in is up to you. No one can do that for you. You have a right to believe either way.

Drake...there's a belief system that fits what you're describing...They're referred to as the Uncommon Denomination...Check them out at www.uua.org. It's a far easier way to Spirituality through being a UU than through being in some other denomination. Good luck in your spiritual journey and peace be with you.

Because with religion you can answer any question with, "GOD works in mysterious ways."
With that single phrase you can dismiss hundreds and hundreds of years of scientific research, and demean the hundreds and hundreds of hard working scientists who made the vast amount of knowledge available.
