I have a chicken that may have scaly legs mites. In order to treat him, I have to take him to my house in another state, which is a 2 hour drive. What would be the best way to minimize stress during the trip?

He is a bantee, so he is small.

Put him in a pet carrier that has enough room for him to move around a little bit. Not too big. Cover it up during the trip. I used to have to move birds around to airports and that's how I did it. It worked real well.

He's cute. He is a bantam, we used to call them banties too, but that is not the correct name. But he is a cutie anyway. I always had a pet chicken, but can't have one where we live now. Neighbors too close plus we live in the country and we now have coyotes. So I feed the wild birds, and have a pet bird inside. He will do fine traveling that far in the car. Make sure you put him inside the car, in a carrier, not in the trunk.
