I prefer either Banana Nut, or Blueberry. If I'm having some of my husband's "famous" chili, I love Corn muffins.

Dune----how in the world is it a "surprise" if you put ground ginger in a ginger muffin?
That's like saying OHHH LOOK I'M GONNA SURPRISE EVERYONE BY PUTTING APPLES IN MY APPLE COBBLER
if you want to surprise people, make glass muffins with coarsely ground shards of glass

I make ginger ones, and as a surprise i add some coarsely crushed crystallised ginger to the mix.
