yeah lack of nutrients when she was a baby has caused her growth to be stunted. she may get a little bigger but probably will never be a big cat. also, some cats are just smaller than others. we have a barn cat that is very tiny. everyone thinks she is a cute kitten. she is 4 years old now.

She may just be a small cat, or she may grow a bit more still, until she is 12 months old. Or she may not have eaten well as a baby and anyway kitten size is cuter, so you are lucky!

Many things.......was she ever tested for internal parasites *such as worms* ? Animals have a hard time getting the food/nutrition they need to grow, when they have parasites stealing it away from them.

I had a foster litter of kittens, where one of them was HALF the size of the rest, yet the same age. He ended up having tapeworms, and once he was treated, he had a huge growth spurt!

See what I mean? The one in the middle is the same age as his sister to the right, but due to tapeworms, he was WAY smaller:

Female cats are typically smaller at the age the male cats. Although she should be bigger then she was 6 months ago, she wouldnt be all that much bigger.

I hear cats arent fully grown until 2 years.

enjoy it while she is still little :)

Omg i had the same problem. my kitten never grew. months and months went by but she never changed in size. come to find out she had worms and died. it was the saddest thing ever. if you care about this cat you should get it help before its too late.

Not all cats grow to be big. She might've been older then you think when you got her. I've seen some 40 pound cats and some that grew only to be around 3ibs.
