does anybody have a clue how much a vet visit might cost?

yes you should be concerned, slightly. depends on if she is exhibiting any other signs like trying to gag or vomit, drooling, that sort of thing. she may have a blockage of some sort. or it could be nothing. sometimes cats do get picky about what they will eat. also depends on how heavy she is. if she is skinny i wouldn't wait too long. if she is normal or overweight then i wouldn't worry too much yet. i would watch her for a couple days and if she still isn't eating then get her in to the vet. of course i am not a vet and you need to do what your instincts tell you. you know your cat better than any of us.

As you now know, you need to go to a vet if you feel your cat is ill. You're the best person to tell when there's something not right with her. There's no way of estimating how much a vet visit will cost because there's no way of knowing what might be wrong with the cat and hence what the treatment would be - besides which, costs of veterinary drugs and services vary greatly. The best thing you can do is ring round local vets and ask what their consult fees are, that way you will know the cheapest you can get her at least checked over for. My surgery charges £25.84 for a consult, but I'm in England, probably nowhere near you!

Hi there...cats who stop eating generally are ill and require emergency medical attention. There are many possibilities as to why your cat is unable to eat.

Veterinary costs will vary from clinic to clinic. If you need financial assistance here's a list of organizations that can help: http://felinediabetes.com/vetbills (Care Credit is one of best).

Cats who stop eating develop hepatic lipidosis and this can become fatal: http://www.peteducation.com:80/article.cfm?cls=1&cat=1327&articleid=217

Please note that tuna can be very dangerous. Here's more details about this which also includes an answer written by a veterinarian: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuPMAB1J1pyi.JVbkt4tnKXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070111170528AAiAKat

try calling your vet and running it by them. Did your cat possibly eat something she shouldn't have and now have a blockage? Check to see if she is urinating and pooping normal. Are all other behaviours normal? If so the problem might be with her teeth. Just call your vet. goodluck

visit cost depends on vet and where you live. two days is a long time to be not eating and she needs to go to the vet.

Take her to the vet.

This is a sign of illness.

The cost of NOT going is possibly a dead cat.
