Whatever it is, it's pagan and not a biblical concept.

St. Patrick described it using a clover the three leafs made up one plant. This other guy just posted just a few minutes ago some sites showing that there is evidence there isn't a trinity. I don't know the answer but I bet if you do some research you will get closer to God.

The simplest way I have ever heard it explained is this way. The Father The Mother the Child are three yet together they make ONE Family. Another explanation is The egg theory, One egg consists of The Shell, The White, The Yoke. Three parts that make ONE. therefore 1+1+1=1.

The Trinity is a meaningless shibboleth: a verbal badge of loyalty -- all you have to do is to say it to be accepted as a paid-up member of the mainstream churches.

See Judges 12:6 and close-by verses for the origin of the word shibboleth.

1) No. That would be "tritheism".

2) No - that's called "Modalism" or, "Sabellianism" - condemed by the Church in the second century.

Three Persons (Greek = "hypostases" Latin = "persona") One in Substance (or "essence" - Greek = "ousia" Latin = "substancia")

See the Athanasian Creed for the classic Christian definition (below)
