Well, there's no hard and fast rule, since the virus that causes colds mutates all the time, but, the average run-time,fromearly symptoms on is about a week, gine or take, but remember, you are contagious even before you become really symptomatic(aches pains, congestion) so be careful around other people, wash your hands often and for the love of the Gods, don't go around anyone until the cold is gone!

A common cold can last from 3 days to a week but never more than two weeks because then you can have something totally different from a cold, if it does last for more than two weeks I suggest going to a doctor.

Depending on the severity of it, I believe that colds last anywhere from 3 to 7 days!
Hope you feel better real soon.

I remember the old doctor's joke (before these new cold remedies came on the market), "Do nothing and the cold will last you 14 days, take something and it'll last two weeks."

7 to 10 days usually. Just be sure to have alot of tissue available to blow your nose. You can take over the counter medications for colds to help you get through it more comfortably.

3-21 days for a normal virus. by the time you start feeling sick, you're already half way thru it. wash your hands better, drink lots of fluid, rest, and treat the symptoms.
