Are you positive someone didn't put something in your drink?

Most symptoms of a hangover are caused by dehydration. Alcohol is a diuretic (by inhibiting the hormone that prevents you from peeing, it makes you pee more than you're supposed to, which causes dehydration). Dehydration can cause nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, vertigo (bad balance and dizziness), and a host of other symptoms, so you just need to replace your fluids. Drink water, Gatorade, or something like that and your symptoms will go away. You may take OTC pain medications if you ahve a headache. Rest and fluids are all that will get rid of a hangover. Alcohol poisoning is a serious disease that happens when a person's blood alcohol concentration is extremely high. If you had it, you wouldn't be conscious and you definitely wouldn't have it the day after you got drunk. Most alcohol poisoning cases are fatal. You're fine. Also, 80 proof liquor is only 40% alcohol by volume, so 80 proof is not that bad. 1 oz of that is still less than one standard drink, so don't go bragging to your friends about 80 proof vodka. Moonshine is 200 proof (100% alcohol by volume) and Everclear is 195 proof, so if you want something to brag about then that's what you should go for. BAC (blood alcohol concentration) depends on the proof of the drink, how much you've drank, and the period of time that you drank it. For example, a 150 pound female drinks 2 beers in one hour. This would give her a BAC of approximately .09. Alcohol poisoning occurs when your BAC is, like, .32 or higher. A BAC of .44 can kill a large man, but people have been recorded as having BACs of .72 and still being conscious and walking around, much less dead. BAC depends on a lot of factors, as does the effect of alcohol on your system. SO unless you take 8 shots of Everclear in one hour, you probably do not have to worry about alcohol poisoning.

Its a posablilty that you do have alcohol poisoning. Since you drink a couple of days a week you probably already know what a bad hangover feels like. Try drinking gatoraide to up your electrolytes. If it comes up just drink what you can. Also maybe some chicken broth or soup. If this is alcohol poisoning you will feel like your going to die but it will pass. You will fell bad for a few days.

i dont think it has nothing to do with poisoning cause the way your talking about how much your drinking it's not so cool. I think you should just stop your drinking cause drinking is not so good for you...are you drinking because your stress out or are you only drinking because you feel like it...to be honest with you and i'm not saying it to you to be mean. I think that you should take a break from drinking and try something a little different like play some tennis in the evening and i swear to you, you will feel so much better or play a little bit of vollyball. well, good luck to you and i hope the best for you and god bless you my dear.

If you had alcohol poisoning, you probably wouldn't be in any condition to ask the question.

Drink plenty of fluids (The chicken soup idea is a good one) to re-hydrate yourself. You can also drink ginger ale if you don't think your stomach can tolerate food. The ginger helps settle your stomach. Take your favorite pain killer (aspirin or Tylenol) for the headache.

Alcohol causes you to become dehydrated, and certain chemicals in alcoholic beverages can cause the hangover.

True alcohol poisoning will affect and suppress respiration and can cause brain damage by affecting how glucose is metabolized in the bran at the cellular level.

Listen. I've done this before. You need to go to the doctor. I'm sure it's not the first time he's had someone come in for such a thing and won't be the last. For your safety, I really think you should go.

Yes you can get poisioned from drinking too much. If you throw up from drinking too much or have a hang-over you have it. There isn't anything a doctor will do for you except lecture you about drinking too much. If it's severe they might give you a B12 shot. Make sure to rehydrate yourself. Gatoraid or Pedialite will do the trick. Good luck!

If you had alchohol poisoning, you'd be unconcious, and way to sick to know what's going on.
You're fine.
Don't drink so much next time, or maybe drink something other than vodka.
Vodka always makes me real sick.

It's certainky possible to get alcohol poisoning, which is potentially fatal. You don't have it now - the fact that you're conscious is proof of that. What you have is a bad hangover. It'll pass eventually.
