Think of it like a movie where there's an action scene sequence and they have to have 3 or 4 versions of the same car. The car goes tearing thru the town, busting down windows and flying in the air. Of course, one car could never get away with this, so the movie company has more than one duplicate car on the set and they use them whenever the need arises. Jesus of the Bible is the same way. All the different versions of the bible use different facsimiles of Jesus as the need arises.

Actually, it's not the Christians who say that Jesus is God, it was Jesus who claimed equality with God.
This got him in trouble where ever he went, because the Jewish Law requires that anybody claiming equality with God should be stoned, and the people kept wanting to stone Jesus for that very cause.
Everybody who ever listened to Jesus teach knew that Jesus claimed to be God. Even demons were afraid of Jesus and asked Him "Are you here to torment us before our time?"
So, yes - the Christ that is in the Bible is the one and same Jesus that Christians worship because Jesus said so.

John 10:30-38 (King James Version)
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

I love the fact that some Christians have to cut and paste scripture or some other writing instead of using their own words.

It helps if you think of God as Superman, and Jesus as Clark Kent.
Alright, it doesn't help much, but I like this mental image.

once you spot a blind guy by way of himself on the line without his sight cane, might you ask why he retains bumping into issues? that's the comparable with the clergy, devil has blinded their minds(they have not have been given any sight cane) so as that they are able to not see the certainty. We on the different hand have gained the helper(sight cane) that Jesus reported he might deliver, the Holy Spirit, to lead us with the aid of this risky worldwide ran by way of devil the devil(a million John 5:19). you could coach them prof, historic prof, you could coach them what the Bible incredibly teaches, they have eyes yet they are able to not see, ears yet they are able to not hear. John 17:21-23 in a substantial occasion of there being, blind, deaf, & dumb(won't be able to make certain the certainty,won't be able to hearken to the certainty,& won't be able to chat the certainty);(21) That all of them could be one (how many= "a million" by way of the know-how all?); as thou, Father (who's the father of Jesus, that Jesus is praying to here?), paintings in me, and that i in thee (2 seperate ones, the father & Jesus), that they(better than 3) could be one(?) in us(2 returned): that the worldwide might have faith that thou has despatched me (is Jesus asserting that somebody has despatched him or is he asserting he got here on his own?(the two?). (22) And the attention which thou gavest me (exchange into some thing given to Jesus, or did he have it for all time?) I certainly have given them (oboy, does that advise that the followers of Jesus are God too?); that they could be one (this blows up the trinity,trinity potential 3), on a similar time as we are one (does this advise that the 12 ,the Holy Spirit, Jesus, & the father are one? that isn't be able to be, for they are 3, returned an including concern!). (23) I in them (Jesus & his followers), and thou in me (the father & the Son), that they could be made suitable in one (?), and that the worldwide might comprehend that thou (who's thou?) hast despatched me (who's me?), and has enjoyed them (who's them, and who's the only that is loving them?), as thou (who's thou?) hast enjoyed me (who's me?). Have eyes yet can not see, ears yet can not hear, & mouths yet can not talk the certainty(blind, deaf,& dumb)! There are some that comprehend what they instruct isn't Bible based, however the money is in basic terms too solid.
