You don't HAVE one.....you ARE one.
You are your own immortal soul. And since YOU are not
your body (which IS physical or material) but a spiritual being, you actually do not have any physical element to you. But you can postulate , create, operate and percieve in this physical universe.....but YOU are not physical or material.

Here's a simple experiment you can do to get more certainty of this:

Close your eyes and think of a cat.
Get a picture of a cat in you mind . Any cat , one you make up or one you have seen. Just get a picture of a cat in your mind.
Then when you have done that, ask yourself this question:
WHO IS LOOKING AT THAT PICTURE?

For more specific info about the nature and properties of the soul/spirit and your relationship to the material universe recommend reading the book "Scientology: The Fundementals of Thought" by L.Ron Hubbard.

In my opinion a soul is the essence of humanity, of that which makes a person good and decent. It contains all of someone's personality which makes them unique, and a mystical version of a person that lives on after we die... something that is immortal. The energy of life existing in all beings. To me it exists both inside and outside of a human's physical shell as both a fuel for the physical realm and a connection to the universal life-force.
I think the only physical element to it is the energy surrounding it. I also think that the only way to be sure we have one is when we spiritually connect our mind and body to some sort of other realm or dimension.

In the Bible, “soul” is translated from the Hebrew ne′phesh and the Greek psy·khe′. Bible usage shows the soul to be a person or an animal or the life that a person or an animal enjoys. To many persons, however, “soul” means the immaterial or spirit part of a human being that survives the death of the physical body. Others understand it to be the principle of life. But these latter views are not Bible teachings.

You'll get a lot of different answers to this, as there are lots of varying opinions on this subject.

In my view, the soul is a part of the self that exists non-physically, and contains the personality of the person. I believe this part passes to the afterlife when we die, and is also reincarnated into new bodies.

To me a soul is a metaphysical conscience that exists around us almost like an aura that we shape and detirmine through our experiences. I think it exists after we die in our physical state (hence ghosts) and it can be percieved by others (psychics) who can read the soul or aura better than an average person...

yet another question hillary is unable to answer...

this has been debated for years and one that has no clear cut answer. BUT we are aware of it through our instinct. when we see random acts of generousity. or the result of some amazing creation or effort of work we describe it as having soul. it's a symbol of the best part of us.

some cultures even believe that the soul is felt through orgasm and used sex in it's religious ceremonies so they could connect with God or the divinity of the universe.

I believe my soul is the essence of me. I can feel it and I wonder why every one can't.
