Someone said, in response to another question I had, that in Romans Chapter 1 somewhere in there it says "Romans ch. 1. The bible explains better than I can. It says something like, They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and so on. " (I copied and pasted a portion of the response).
To me this sounds like someone predicting the Bible editing and brainwashing. Does this seem like this to you too?

That's one of the things that made the Roman Empire fall

The verse was Romans 1:25 - "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."
I believe that this predicts the teaching of evolution in the future. People are now worshipping a non-existent process ("evolution") as their "god" - that which they believe brought everything into existence, thus giving it godhood status. They believe it dogmatically and despite the fact that it flies in the face of empirical science. The only reason why people accept evolution is because accepting God's existence and His Creatorship means that God has a right to judge His Creation, and that there are some rules involved. They don't want to believe in God because it interferes with their selfish sexual and temporal desires.

If you take only that one small part of the sentence out of the entire sentence and paragraph in whic it was wirtten, I suppose you could make it say that. But when you read the entire sentence, it is talking about people rejecting the evidence for the existence of God. It has nothing to do with "editing the Bible".

Here is the whole paragraph if you would like to read it:

20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

That is Romans 1:25 and it is speaking of those that fall into idolatry and worship false gods.

No, this sounds like the belligerences of people today. Romans 1:18-32 - "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

Rome and other great nations fell because of these things. America may be well on its way to doing the same.

No, it looks like someone trying to interpret The Bible according to his/her own mind, behaviour and desires and not according To God's Gospel.

Nope. It sounds like someone rejecting the Gospel and accepting some humanist theology in its place
