It,s been 3 months and he doesn,t seem to be taking me seriously, I need my money. He should be better off than I am. Help!!!

The first thing to do is send him a certified letter asking for this matter to be resolved and you money returned. Have it stated that if you do not receive satisfaction you are going to take matters to a higher level. Keep a copy for yourself and if possible get it notarized. If this doesn't work, contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complains against him and his company. Then take him to small claims court. Bring proof that the job wasn't done to completion or proof from two addition mechanic to what they would charge for the same work including parts and labor. Also bring any warranty that you may have received for the job.

why is being a single mother with no family inportant here? are you admitting people in this category are stupid and deserving of pity? Well, if you can prove this con, its best to take him to court. In small claims you can add the charge of the court to the 250.

OK, HERE IS MY SUGGESTION,, NOW KEEP IN MIND IT IS HARD TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION TOTALLY CORRECTLY BECAUSE YOU DID NOT MENTION HOW HE DID THIS.
ANYWAY, MY SUGGESTION IS TO BUST HIS BALLS BADLY,.,, I MEAN REALY BADLY!
I SAY MAKE THIS MECHANIC REMEMBER YOU FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AS THE CRAZY LADY THAT I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO SCREW OVER, LOL
CALL THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION THAT YOU CAN THINK OF TO MAKE HIS LIFE DIFFICCULT,. I GOT SCREWED OVER BY SOMEONE LIKE THIS BEFORE AND COMES TO FIND OUT THAT SO MANY COMPLAINTS WERE FILED THAT HE LOST HIS LICENSE TO SELL CARS ( YOU ARE PROBABLY NO THE ONLY ONE) THEN DO OTHER THINGS TO BUST HIS BALLS,,,,IE. CALL THE EPA, HIS LAND LORD, THE POLICE, ETC.
OH, AND GO TO THE LOCAL COURTHOUSE AND FILE A SMALL CLAIMS COMPLAINT.,, IT IS REALLY EASY AND IT ONLY COSTS LIKE 25.00 AND THEN THEY SEND HIM A LETTER WITH A COURT DATE, LOL,, THAT WILL PROBABLY GET HIM TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT BECAUSE IF HE DOESNT SHOW UP, YOU AUTOMATICALLY WIN :) HE PROBABLY DOESNT THINK YOU WILL DO THAT, BUT DO IT!!!
ALSO, HARASS HIM, CALL HIM 20 TIMES A DAY, YES, BUST HIS BALLS!

Take him to small claims court. He'll also have to pay the court costs and your lost wages if you work for a living.

gather up your proof that it was a con and take it to the police that is the best thing to do and you will get that money from him quick

How did he do this?
Call the better business bureau.
Also call the chamber of commerce in your town.

he did this because you have no husband and he thinks you wont stand up for yourself
start looking up laws and talk to attorneys about this
you dont have to pay them for advice on what to do!
you have to stand up for yourself and scare him to get your money back
