In terms of regular coffee, Dunkin Donuts is better. But I have not been to any coffee franchise other than Starbucks that has better specialty drinks like mochas, frappuccinos, and especially those delicious pumpkin spice and gingerbread lattes.

You TOTALLY need to try Caribou Coffee, they dont' play the bs Starbucks "tall/grande/venti" nonsense. And they have some of the scrummiest specialty drinks ever, hands down. The Caramel High Rise is the real proof of a loving diety.

We, as a people, have come to appreciate mediocrity as the standard for most restaurant dining. We would rather make a group who was audacious enough to open a coffee shop on the Arabian Peninsula rich than to support the people in our own home towns who have stuck their neck's out and tried to make things better for their families. Starbucks lovers? Shame on you. Try Mom and Pop. Drink coffe served to you by someone with a personality! Almost every independent coffee shop is better than Starbucks!

Hands down Dunkin is the best. But depending on where you live. I live in the bay area of Cali so we have a few small chains such as Peet's coffee it is so very tasty but if you want even more local Carmel Valley roasting company they are really great as well but the both are local companies. I believe that Settles Best is more nationwide. I really like them. Their white mocha's with white choc. shavings is to die for.

Caribou Coffee is way better.....At least they dont have Britney Spears barging down the door looking for a XL Frappe Mocha chocolate whipped mess.

I'd say 7 eleven has better coffee...starbucks has the best hot coco, mocha, and frapps though.

I read somewhere that Dunkin Dounuts had a good ground.
Seattles Best was a next best for me when Star bucks was not available or I did not want to spend that much.
