i was wondering if anyone knows how to translate

"If I am not myself who will be me?" into hebrew?

the past year as been a very tough one and I would like to get this tattooed on me?

well, i'm not sure if this is 100% correct (you'll probably want other people's feedback before tattooing it on yourself..)

but

אם אני לא אני עצמי
מי היה אני

You may get some very strange looks and not much help with this, because we (jews) believe that it is a great sin to tattoo or pierce our bodies.

I'm sorry that I cannot be of much help, but I just wanted to let you know. A tattoo in hebrew could also be very offensive to some people.

Consult your local rabbi, though I'm sure he'll have a conniption over your getting a tattoo, as I'm sure your parents would! Lots of people have it tough without resorting to getting or doing something they'll regret, later. Think about it.

Here's your translation, but I think it would make more sense if it said, " If I am not myself, who will I be"
