No. Another thing, if you check it out in the Bible (Matthew 2:1-16).....The wise men did not visit Jesus until several years after he was born. They were not there at his birth.
Interesting how this world changes things around so much.

Christmas is when Jesus's Birthday is celebrated. Although Jesus was not born December 25th.

My understanding is that Jesus was born during the summer months, but the church moved the celebration to December 25th to ruin a pagan holiday.
Once Christmas was moved, everyone began to celebrate christmas instead of the pagan holiday.......and throughout time, completely forgot about the pagan holiday altogether.

I'm no historian or religious person......but if this story I've heard is true.......think about it.......it completely worked.

If you read the Bible, no day or month is given for the birth od Jesus. In fact, the calendar as we know it today was not invented yet. So the actual day of Jesus' birth is not know.

December 25th was one of the largest Roman holidays at the time when the Christian faith was beginning to spread. As an alternate to that holiday, the Christians began to celebrate the birth of Jesus (or the Christ Mass) on that day. Kind of like churches today that offer alternative celebrations to Halloween every year.

Because the growing seasons are different in Israel then they are in the US, December would have been one of the business times of year, and unlikely to be when a census would have been taken (interrupting the work). Also it would have been unusual to have sheep in the fields that time of year. It is more likely that the birth of Jesus was in early spring or early fall. But the actual date is unknown.

A festival commemorating the birth of Jesus, traditionally celebrated on December 25 by most Western Christian churches. Although dating to probably as early as a.d. 200, the feast of Christmas did not become widespread until the Middle Ages. Today, Christmas is largely secularized and dominated by gifts, decorated trees, and a jolly Santa Claus.

Christmas is NOT the birth of Jesus, nor mass of Christ.
Christmas is NOT the nicest time of year, but the worst.
There were NOT 3 magi, but 3 gifts of many Babylon Jews.
Wise men did NOT visit a babe in a manger at Bethlehem.
Shepherds do NOT abide flocks in fields at night in winter.
Xmas Tree NOT Godly, but vain Babylon custom: Jer 10.
King of the Jews (Law) is NOT The King of Kings (Grace).

It is the day we celebrate his birthday. Kind of like how those born on Feb 29 find a day to celebrate their birthday. The birth of Jesus, though cryptic has been placed between August and October, with one person even going so far to say that he was born on Sept. 11. Of course, it would be inaccurate to celebrate on that day since, at the time he was born, they used the Jewish calender. So his birthday, like passover and Easter would be celebrated at different times of the year.

Many sources suggest it was in the summer. December 25th was originally a pagan festival and also the birhday or the roman god Mithras, but became associated with the birth of jesus
