I've been eating healty, having a balacned diet and excersising alot.
But I've used many calorie calulators to find out how many calories I need and I've cut it so that to give me a 4 pound weight loss a week.
Im feeling fine and just as happy, and energetic as before.
I'm on my 3rd week now it ends sunday. I've lost 6 pounds so far. But I should of lost about 10 by now I've strictly followed my calroies and kept my metalbolism going 4-6 meals a day and I drink a glass of milk before bed.
I've been doing alot of walking and running about. Also i've been doing 15-30mins cardio workout . Also I've been doing crucnhes, press-ups and weight lifting.
Is it possible that 4 pounds could of turned into muscle on my body.
Thanks in advance
Johnny

I'm eating quite a fair amount of protein.
What I really want know is to know that a quarter or so of the fat I've lost has turned into muscle

Clinical research has found that a large proportion of over weight people have Helicobacter pylori a common bacterial infection that affects the stomach. Which cause discomfort and acidic balance in the stomach to be disturbed, resulting in increased food intake. Additionally waste from the bacterium is also considered to affect the hosts energy levels.
Further it is considered that this affects the individuals desire to exercise, as the stomach is naturally targeted for first level fuel, before other reservoirs.
Additional, this bacterium and its affect on the digestive system is over a long period of time, and many people don't notice the bodily adaption to its presence.
Naturally you will still need to eat less [sensibly] and do more exercise, to reduce your weight; but this can be done while on the anti-biotic treatment for Helicobacter.
Consult your doctor to obtain the Helicobacter test; its a funny test, they give you a drink that makes you burp.
This test, treatment and a sensible eating and exercise program has helped me; seriously it hasn't been difficult, not like all the other times I tried to lose weight.

IT sure is possible. Muscle weighs more than fat.
Keep in mind that 4 pounds a week is very high, and most professionals/experts recommend no more than 1-2 pounds a week. This is because those that lose more tend not to keep it off.
Focus more on building your body. Exercising is wonderful, and you should keep it up.
Keep in mind that everyone's metabolism works differently. You may not exert as many calories with the exercise you do as you expect. Don't try to cut back eating any further, as your metabolism will adjust and you will lose less, not more.
Keep up the good work.

Theoretically, yes - but probably not., in less than three weeks.
Suggestions:
1] do at least thirty minutes of cardio six days a week, to lose weight
2] aim for two pounds a week weight loss - healthy recommendation!
3] drink LOTS of water - about 1/2 gallon a day
4] take vitamins with minerals
5] be sure your calorie counts are spread evenly over breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner - avoid anything more than 100 calories total after dinner.
'Running and walking about' don't necessarily use extra calories - they are part of normal activities.

Don't worry too much about it. Six pounds is a lot, so you're already on a good start. Were you very active before you started the diet? If not sometimes when your body isn't used to that kind of exercise it will kind of go into an Emergency mode and save what calories it can. Also, you can't always rely on those calorie calculators. They're more like a suggestion. Good luck!

I wouldn't be worried too much on how much weight you lose. Don't worry about calorie counting. As long as you are eating healthy and not over eating the healthy food either, and getting some exercise the results will come.
Never give up, just keep working hard and you will see the improvements. Good job so far, keep it up!

Very possible. You need to just stay with it. Don't try to lose weight too fast either, that way the weight will stay off. Don't starve yourself either. That is not good. I have diabetes and i regret not having taken better care of myself. Whole grains is the best way to go. Sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. Brown rice instead of white rice. It's hard but it can be done. Good luck.

its common to level off after a few weeks. keep up the good work and you should notice some toning as long as you tick with it. sometimes staying of the scale helps. just check every couple weeks. just try it. it works i promise ;)
