Satan is in control of this thread. And nothing, and I mean nothing! make him madder than people praying.

The point of this board is to ask and answer questions. We all tend to abuse it a bit espcially in the Society & Culture section and its subcategories. Technically posting prayers or asking for prayer is not a question and should be posted elsewhere. While I don't report these, they are against the guidelines.
Note: The guidelines are not anti any religious group, but they are there to maintain a civil question and answer format.

In P&S, and in "Dating", we see all the time:
"Help me! Somebody tell me something!" ..............
........so, neither is this Y/A a forum for therapy and counseling, but no one thinks anything is wrong with those questions (including me).
EDIT:
Asking for prayer is asking for help. From the people who are in the category. Period.
I ask for help in the Computers section all the time.
I agree, I think I smell an agenda.

Maybe they're atheist, or maybe they can't afford a license to pray, or maybe, just maybe they want to keep this site rather light hearted so that a whole lot of people will participate and not just a few who will turn it into a religious, finger pointing group of self righteous " I'm going to heaven and your not" people.
Then again, I could be wrong about all of the above.

If it makes you feel better, I will send your name to a prayer chain. I won't tell you which religion will be praying for you, because someone will still pray for you and afterall a prayer is a prayer.

This is a Question and Answer forum, not a church or a prayer meeting. Are you allowed to eat your dinner in the library? Are you allowed to have sex at the PTA meeting?

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

The purpose of this forum is to ask questions with the intentend of eliciting an answer or respond. (Thus the forum is called Yahoo ANSWERS.) If you just want to pray...go find a church.

This is a forum for eliciting information. Prayer requests do not elicit information. Thus, they do not meet the Community Guidelines.
They are also considered "Chatting and Personal Correspondence."
In short, they violate the Community Guidelines.

This is a question and answer board, and prayer requests are not questions nor are they answers.
