Ever had this experience or known of some people who connected at such a traumatic moment?
I was able to confirm this "connection" btwn a wife on the West Coast who "felt" her hubby's passing the instant it ocurred - received War Departments confirmation soon afterward. The hour at her home MATCHED the hour of the event that took his life (war situation).
What is your spin on this?
Is this an example of SOUL MATES ?

No, dear one, it isn't an example of "soul mates." Rather, it is a gift from God to comfort the one being left behind. It happened to me when my son passed away suddenly of an aneurysm in another state. I "saw" his face and reached out and laid my hand on his cheek and knew I was saying goodbye to him. I also knew we were telling each other we loved one another and we would see each other again.

I belive in soul mates that after a while your conscience becomes almost at one with the other. Never had a soul mate but I have had a similar connection with my sister when she got really sick and I couldnt go to sleep that night for an odd reason and got a call in the morning about it.

There was a boy that was raised in my current house. His family moved out right before we moved in. (about three years prior) Anyway, there was this week that I FELT death. I could almost hear it. I told friends and family that I knew we would be attending a funeral because I knew somebody either had died or was about to. That night my husband came home late from his monthly poker game with the guys and told me about how he had been held up due to a traffic accident involving a motorcycle. I felt deeply for this unknown person and wept as we talked. Two days later, the mother of the boy that grew up in my house called and told me that her son had died instantly in a traffic accident while riding his motorcycle. (at the exact spot where my husband watched in horror) I still find his childhood toys in the yard as they wash up after a rain. I feel very connected.

Professionally, this is without paragraphs so it will deter much attention. Your plot is perfect, your theme is fabulous. Your choice of simple words is makes visualization of the piece easy and understandable. Above all, I think you have an avid imagination which will take you places. I give you 8.5 out of 10 for this piece. Normally, out of this piece, a masterpiece can be crafted out. I love the story. It is a great work of imagination. note- I write also, am 13, i grade stories at school because am good at it.

I don't believe in "soul mates" but I have heard of things like this happening. One example was a child (teen)who had died in an automobile accident and her mother instantly knew it.
I believe it can happen.
