They can agree to certain things, but those things should be obvious - peace is good, don't steal and hurt others, care for each other, don't force belief on others and allow them freedom of belief (I don't think the Koran allows that due to some wrong things Mohammed wrote about apostasy from his belief system).

But it would be wrong to deny who Jesus is and what He did for us (a dishonour to Christ and a waste of the salvation He provided for all men.)
Muslims always try and equate Allah with Yahweh, although the 'Allah' concept has many attributes of the true God but not all, and some incorrect; all the teaching on salvation is fundamentally wrong in Islam, so saying its OK is doing a serious disservice to those currently believing Mohammed's system of belief.

the bible tells us to rebuke those that come in the name of the father but not the son, to rebuke those that come in the name of the son but do not know the father. Christ warned us of those that claim to be the Christ but are not (anti-Christs), many have come and more will come.
We should council our Islamic brothers and sisters to repent and follow Christ, not embrace them and accept them where they are. Also too, we should do the same for our catholic brethren so they will turn away from following one who wears the name, the substitute Christ (vicaris filli dei).
It does seem fitting that there is a pending allegiance between Islam and the Vatican, there are certain REV prophecies that can't be fulfilled unless they are united.

No...

Christians and Muslims cannot agree. Muslims believe in the extermination of all who are not willing to convert. Christians believe in grace and mercy. The most apparent of these examples is the US vs. Iran. Iran, if you become a Christian, they have every right to kill you on site. In the US, we don't kill non-Christians (though our nation is built on Christian foundations).

Any one claiming to be a Muslim and claims he/she doesn't believe in the extermination of non-believers isn't a true muslim b/c it's in their holy scriptures. Just like a Christian claiming to follow Christ, but living a lifestyle of sin is not truly a Christian.

There can be peace between vastly different religions and still not have them compromise their beliefs. I can most certainly be friends with someone who is Muslim and respect their beliefs without affecting my own beliefs, or negating my beliefs. I don't care who's right, because in my heart, I know that God exists, and that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Peace with Muslims won't change that.

Merry Christmas...

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

Another indication to me that Catholicism does not adhere to the bible. If it did, no one in that church would ever equate the god of Islam with the God of the bible. Islam denies Jesus is the son of God, denies that He died on a cross, and denies that He is savior.

Very sad to see such compromise.
