Not nearly as many as people have done for me. Since I ended up in a wheelchair a couple of years ago, I've found out just how kind-hearted people can be.

I've had people insist on giving me their umbrella and then pushing me to my car in the middle of a driving rain. A young boy on a skateboard saw that I was having trouble getting up a ramp, so he jumped off his skateboard and pushed me up the ramp, then took me to the store I wanted to go to and held the door open for me. Things like that happen all the time.

Just yesterday, I was at my favorite used bookstore, and one of the employees gave me a credit slip that her sister had asked her to find a use for. I ended up being able to get all the books I'd been wanting, thanks to two ladies' good deeds.

There are some nasty, rotten people in this world, but based on all the kindness that folks have shown me, I'd say the good ones are still in the majority.

I stick up for people at work who are good spirited but full of folly to say the least. At the same time I try to help when people are in err, mainly psychological stuff I see daily but never one to not lend a hand when someone is in need. Even the guy carrying an axe that got stuck on the side of the highway.

Does it really matter? I really don't keep track. I hope I have done enough to make some kind of impact (even if it is minute) on someone's life but I can't say for sure.

I follow the Bible counsel at Matt 28: 19,20

"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

The bible tells me all my "good deeds" are as filthy rags before God, therefore I wouldn't come on Answers and brag about anything!
