She was an incredible human being and one of the few that lived her philosophy instead of just talking about it.
I am a bit more cynical than she was, I look at that quote and think that it would open me up to be taken advantage of by people claiming to have the will of God.

The factor is guy, is that christians particularly do not get it. LoL They do not hassle to make the effort to truthfully "believe" approximately their god in view that they are informed to not in view that that's sinful. They say that a few atheists are knowledgeable in theology in view that we attempt to recognize what makes them so senile. I'm off area despite the fact that, they simply do not recognize that with all of the transferring from christianity to atheism god could best must make a million unmarried look do one real astounding factor and we could recognise and haven't any motive to doubt or now not think. It's unhappy and it makes me believe sorry for humans that experience one of these feeble brain.

Mostly through the love and good will of other people. Sometimes, Jesus shows Himself to me in many small ways. A good example is you posting that beautiful quote. Thank You.

I totally agree with this quote... If the Lord is giving you something, accept it graciously... The Gifts of God should be without repentance... And furthermore, My Precious Savior Jesus knows what is Best For me, and would never give me a gift to hurt me or to make me falter from him....
Peace be With You Also,
Samantha

I think Mother Teresa was very wise.
It is hard for me to accept what He takes and gives with a big smile. I wish I could. Instead I usually end up complaining about it....

It is so true to Mother Teresa's spirituality.
Are you familiar with Bl Charles De Foucauld's Prayer of Abandonment?
Father,I abandon myself into your hands
Do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do,I thank you:
I am ready for all I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me
and in all your creatures:
I wish no more than this,O Lord
Into your hands I commend my soul:
I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,
for I love you,Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands
without reserve and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father

From a Christian standpoint, it's a token of humility and embracing the will of God. Almost as if there is no way to stop God's will or escape from it, so one might as well smile through it because it is God's will. Surrending yourself to God's will.
From a secular aspect, which is just as important to consider as the Christian, I think it's BS. We are humans and we have free will and we are in command of our own destinies, all we need is self-confidence and a relentless ambition to success. Ultimatley, God would have no "earthly presence" without humanity being there to accept it. Like if God needs humanity just as much as humanity needs Him.

The quote is very similar to Paul's famous quote:
"I know what it is to live in plenty, and i know what it is to live in want, i can do all through He who give's me strength."
