It was a cartoon. There wasn't any puppets or clay. It was like a music video with monsters. There was a werewolf on it.

in the 70's there was a cartoon with monsters that sang songs, called The Groovie Goolies, had a vampire and frankenstien monster and werewolf, a mummy a witch and several others, they sang 2 songs per show..

not sure what you're thinking of from the 80's. I watched alot of cartoons thru the 70's and 80's and dont remember one then...

Northshore_Angel_Fan IDed it...it was the 1970 cartoon "Groovie Goolies". It was syndicated in repackaged form as "Groovie Goolies and Friends" (this version incorporated animated cartoon versions of My Favorite Martian,Lassie and Gilligan's Island and several other orriginal 'toons from the Filmation library).

if your thinking about a halloween special that ran every year and it was like claymation or puppets or marionets...then you thinking about the mad monster party...what a great special it was
