with so many people saying no as their answer... I would say it is at least a possibility since nobody knows exactly and the Bible says Jesus will "come like a thief in the night" when the people are not expecting it.

If Jesus came back in that time frame, wouldn't that just be a kick in the pants for some people?

No, and that's because Armageddon would take more than a week or two. It's not so easy to wipe out an entire planet, it's really hard actually. True there maybe be pollution and so forth, but nevertheless, that's not enough to cause the end of life as we know it, at least within two weeks. Even if you have the Creationist view point, why would God put an end to his "image and likeness" if it has not even touched its limitless potential? So, no I don't think it will end, but even if it did, I took a hell of a 17-year long ride!

Well, yeah, but not sure..

Because loads of people have been talking about Judgement Day in my school, and loads of world disasters are happening. But there is a way of telling when the world will end, if there was an earthquake about 6 miles of length, then the end is just around the corner, know what I mean?

Why do you ask? This is a trippy question. No, I don't think it will end in a week or two but we certainly are seeing signs of the end of time as we know it. And like another answer to your question are you ready? I am, and I don't say that glibly. It is a sobering thought and for some a sad point.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 says, regarding the "times and seasons" (of Jesus' coming), that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in night. The point, of course, is that a thief will come unexpectedly. There will be no signs and no warnings. The same is true of Jesus' return. No one can know when it will occur. No signs can be used to predict the Jesus coming

The world will not end. It will be the end of man's rule on earth.

Not so much the world, but civilization as we know it.

Yup... in the New Year we'll be squatting in weeded lots, cooking rats over a fire in a rusted metal drum while our Techy Shamans scavange for the last available batteries so we can keep listening to our favorite music.

Bon Jovi and The Cowboy Junkies wafting over the ruins, while the three percent of the populace that can still afford to buy food drive past and throw food wrappers from their limos windows.

And you know what's crazy... we'll think "Hey, these are the good times... there are still a few batteries and a steady supply of rats..."

I do not think the world will end in a week or two.As a person of biblical knowledge I will say that the world will end soon.It may be today ,it may be tomorrow but know this, the world as we know it will end. the day we all die is the end for us but the day of tribulation has not come yet. When it does the end will come swiftly.

No. It may end in 2012 though, as predicted by the Mayan calendar with the end of the fifth sun. It is also said that no clairvoyant is able to see past that year. Hmm... well fingers crossed hey?

N O! It will end on the 21 December 2012, as we know it, by either an Asteroid or Comet!!

A week or two? It'll all be over long before that. Haven't you seen that comet in the sky headed our way? I give it a day or two...

Seriously though, what makes you wonder if it'll all be over in a week or two? Weird one...but it does put things in perspective and remind you to enjoy each moment you've got.
