It seems that quantity is the key judging by all the prayer requests we see here.

Only one righteous person is needed. They already have God's attention. Remember Elijah! James 5:16-18.

The key is unity in prayer, not quantity

I can see how you would think that, but it doesn't work that way. We always have God's full attention -- and then some.

When people get together to pray, Jesus promised that He would be there in a special way. The exact quote is "2 or more." Mat 18:20

Good question, I say we ask for God to raise Ronald Regan back from the dead, bless him with good health and let him lead this country back to glory without the demonic influence of the Bush family :)

Then I saw we ask God to rid us of reality TV, boy bands and all that pop crap that pollutes our airwaves.

what god wants god gets regardless of what we want. Do you really think you can convince a supreme being to change his mind?
Prayer is for you to deal with the situation, not for you to get what you want.

lol since god has so many prayers to answer i assume he culls the list and only grants the most prayed for group, actually i dont think it makes a difference, prayer does nothing, and that has been scientifically proven

god listens to prayers personally and individually... people tend to think of god like a person.. like he can only do one thing at a time... he is almighty and powerful. haha do not compare him to a man.

but does god listen to all prayers?

The Bible assures us: "The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication." (1 Peter 3:12)

First, they must be directed exclusively to God—not to Jesus, to a "saint," or to an idol. (Exodus 20:4, 5)

Prayers must also be offered in the name of God's Son, Jesus Christ. (John 14:6) Does this mean that our prayers are heard by Jesus first and that he relays the message to God? No. Rather, by praying to Jehovah in the name of Jesus, we identify ourselves as Christ's disciples and we acknowledge that it is only because of his ransom that we are able to approach God.—Hebrews 4:14-16.

Prayers must be offered in faith. The apostle Paul pointed out: "Without faith it is impossible to please [God] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him." (Hebrews 11:6)

How does a person know if he has that kind of faith? The Bible writer James answers: "I shall show you my faith by my works." (James 2:18) Yes, faith produces actions, and they, in turn, show that we love God and are trying to please him.
