A long wheel base will be more stable. A 4X4 will give you
better control (once you learn how to use its advantage). A
lower stance will give you better lateral stability but a higher
stance will give you more clearance (above the snow). My
first choice would be a 4X4 Suburban. Its forgiving and
relatively undemanding to drive in the snow.

ANY SUV WILL WORK IN THE SNOW THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW.

yeah mostly its the tires and the driver, tires give grip, driver has to know what they're doing and be extremely careful

4 WHEEL DRIVE... tires make up the difference, not so much the car itself..
Extra info : IF your concerned more about flipping, than you should go to car road tests sights and see.
