Canada life expectancy average (2005) is 80. More specifically

Men - 77.3
Women - 82.3

The life Expectancy averages tend to increase each year. AND to the other guys rambling. Canada DOES have a longer life expectancy than the US. Ours is 11th highest in the world, the US is 38th. One of the reasons listed as why IS the Canadian Health Care system. But instead of just brushing things off and making up the statistics and making assumptions about things, we as Canadians take these actual statistics and say we have it good, but how can we make it better.

Not any higher than the U.S. Remember, socialized medicine is great for the poor, but people who have a serious problem and can afford to pay for insurance are not treated soon enough, leading to death.
