The last time my gf and i had sex, it was the weekend of Nov 8th( We are in a long distance realtionship, and dont see eachother often) She was on BC for about 1 month and 2 weeks. I wore a condom some of tie time and i also pulled out. She got her period a week later, on time Nov 18th. She was really feeling wweird, a lot to do with her stomach and stuff, which she was convinced she was pregnant, i told her no. She switched BC her third month. She started spotting along with mild cramps Sunday Dec 9th and has continued to this day(Thursday). She is supposed to starther placebo pill this Sunday Dec 16th. She is having surgery on Friday and is a lil worried. She has taken 2 tests, Nov 27th and Dec 11th, both neg. Is this from her Switching BC or is it implantation Bleeding. Also is a week enough for her body to become "pregnant", as it was a week from when we had sex and when she sstarted her period. Her spotting as gotten heavier since the 1st day, but lite, she only wears a pad.THX.

She also says randomly during the ay, and not every day, she was sharp, but not severe pain on either side of her stomach bellow her belly button. She also says that hr stomach is like growling, but its not from being hungry. Could it be from gas, or a sign of being pregnant. Thanks for your help, she is really flipping out. Do you think she is over reacting. Thanks.

most likely its due to the switching of the pill...it can do a number of things to your body until your system gets used to it....her menstruation could be off, cramps, spotting...if she took more than one test and they were both neg. im sure she isnt pregnant....if she is really concerned have her talk to her doc about it!

I would probably say that it's from switching birth control, although she really needs to see her gynocologist. She could be expereiencing a tubal pregnancy which is very dangerous. It doesn't happen often. A tubal pregnancy is where the fertilized egg gets stuck in the fallopian tubes. The egg then grows inside the tubes. If this happens surgery will be needed to remove the egg. If it is not taken care of death could be the result. I don't mean to scare you but the pain she is experiencing could be the result of this. Tell her to go to her gynocologist, it's the only way she'll know for sure.

She's over reacting. Changing or starting birth control will make periods different and it'll take a while for her body to adjust to the different types of birth control. Some people can feel when they're ovulating which can be the pain she's feeling on the side of her belly button.

Hmm... I would definetly talk to a ob/gyn about the sharp pain.
I had a cyst that gave me the similar very horrible pain. I would ask for a sonogram or something of that nature to show what is going.

But It is probably just a pill problem. If she is bleeding each month pregnancy is very doubtful.

Good luck.

well sometimes spotting can occur from BC not being the right dosage, or from switching to one that isnt right for her body. she should go to a freaking doctor no matter the case. tell her to get a blood test for pregnancy. it is still very possible for her to be pregnant, depending on how dutifully she was taking her BC. either way, tell her to go to a doctor and stop worrying. and if she cant afford a doctor visit, tell her to go to a free clinic like planned parenthood. good luck!

It's highly unlikely that she's pregnant, but I would definitely visit my OB/GYN if I were her just to be sure everything is okay.
