yeah i had a cat and it had a bad infection in its gums and didn't want anyone going anywhere near it i think its cause the cat is afraid the kitten might touch its wounds when the cat feels better she will come around

Kudos to you for keeping your cat in and trying to care for your sister's cat. Tell your sister that cats that go outside usually only live a few years, even if they're allowed in the house. A cat that lives inside all the time can live 14-20+ years. Some cats just won't stay in and will run out every chance they get, but one should make every effort to keep them in.

The cat should probably go to the vet. She's obviously not feeling well. Even a small wound that looks like it's healed on the surface can be causing a major infection. Cats have very fast metabolisms, so they can get dangerously ill very quickly. Have the cats both been vaccinated? Cat fights are notorious for spreading disease.

If it turns out she's all right, she'll probably go back to playing as soon as she discovers that the kitten can't beat her up like the one did in her bad "outside" experience. Good Luck.

If your sister's cat is still hurt, it won't want to have anything to do with the other cat, or any human for that matter. It's instinctive.

Check to see if the cat is sore anywhere. If it is, you should get the hurt cat to the vet, there may be an infection.

Once the cat is healed up it will be back to normal.

Give it more time; maybe the cat is still sore from the fight.
You could give it some catnip or use Feliway spray if you have it, to make the cat feel calmer; but I think things will get back to normal after a while.

Tell your sister to be more responsible. Cats don't need to be outdoor on their own. This is what happens to them.. they get hurt or killed! I know it doesn't answer your questions but I don't understand why people let their cats outside to just roam free. They don't need that.

There is this school looked up in the internet it helps it teaches the cats how to be friends with one another. I took my cats there and now they are so sweet to each other you should try it

maybe you should cage the injured cat...so it won't go out and hurt herself again.

it'll take time before playtime i back to normal. injuries tend to make them more sensitive to their surroundings.
