OK so I have been dating this gril for a couple of weeks now and things are going really well. We both connect really well. We have had sex a couple of times now but never stayed the night at eachothers house. I told her that I would like her to spend the night at my place a night this weekend and her response was she did not know if she was ready for that yet. How is it that we can have sex but when it comes down to staying the night she does not want to yet. Any thoughts would be appreaciated.

she may have commitment issues... having sex and hanging out can be seen as a casual relationship...actually staying the night can be seen as taking the next step in becoming a 'proper' relationship, and maybe she isnt ready yet... the only way you will find out is by talking to her.... if it is going to turn into a serious relationship then communication is very important...if you cant communicate now you may never.... good luck

well i think she probably sees the sleeping over as a sign for a more commited relationship.My best guess is that she is being cautious.Iam not a expert but i could point u 2 the right direction.u could post this question on any popular magazines and get a professional advice from experts (some examples : maxim magazine,mens health,etc ).as a guy i think u shouldn,t sweat this 2 much.The most important thing is she intimate with u.good character women dont sleep with everyone and assuming that she,s good u have already broke down one barrier and it will take more time to break those other barriers.developing a good relationship takes time so dont worry, be happy.

This may seem counter-productive, just a hunch but before or after you got done having sex with for the first time she also said "I don't do this much" or "you are the first guy I have done it with that I have know for less than a month" or this is the best one: "I am a virgin"..only in reference to her ear-hole probably. If she spends the night she feels that you will get attached and that she will actually beging to get attached if you spend the night at eachother's places. Funny how having sex is ok but when it comes to spending the night, don't get to attached dude.

Staying the night presupposes a comfort zone that has yet to be established. A long time ago, I had a girlfriend who wanted me to stay with her for a whole week. I told her that I needed to put it off a day so that I could understand how it would feel to wake up with her (which was heaven) but in an environment which was unfamiliar.
Love her well and she will stay the night with you anywhere, Give her that time.

It's a comfort thing. The first couple times I slept with my b/f I couldn't sleep all night and thats really stressful. Once she gets more comfortable with you then she'll be ready to actually sleep with you. Our generation is pretty open about sex so sometimes it's not considered the most intimate thing to do.

well, girls like to keep at least SOME mystery involved for a while. Staying at your house, you would see her in the morning before she showered and brushed her teeth, without makeup, etc. Maybe she just wants to keep your idea that she is perfect in your mind a little longer.

Maybe its about weither her parents would appeciate it.? I would say something like that because i am ashamed of my body...and the thought of y'know lying there all night, but im over that phase with my boyfriend but i did think it.... This could be the explananation if she is a little self-consious...

staying over is more of a commitment. there could also be that she doesnt like to sleep in her make-up and doesnt want you to see her in the morning without it.
