There aren't any problems with the PS3's, but if you are going to buy the 20GB PS3, you should buy a bigger hard drive for it, because when you get the 20GB PS3 about 5 GB of space is already used up for the operating system, so really you will have about 15GB of hard drive space.

the only problem is the lack of memory with the 20 gb and the fact that there are less usb ports and no disk slots for memory sticks. if ur going to be playing the ps3 alot and downloading stuff, you might wanna consider buying a big hard drive because 20gb wont last long.other than that, your fine

The .02% failure rate on the PS3 is generally something that fails right out of the box.
If it's been running, I'd look at the system and see if the system is fairly dust free. If so, buy it.
Here's what the system should come with.
PS3 20GB console
1 wireless (bluetooth) controller
1 usb charge cable for the controller
1 ethernet cable
1 RCA AV/Out cable

it would be well worth seeing how sturdy your broadband connection is on your PS3, even if if it somewhat is under pressure it somewhat is of course at one hundred% yet whilst no longer it somewhat is well worth sorting out. even if if it somewhat is under pressure you may desire to attempt your connection velocity. you're able to try this via happening a computer and going to the information superhighway web site pasted below for a braodband attempt, it takes 2 minutes and is rather precise. something below 1MB is rather sluggish. there are techniques of increasing prompt connection power e.g hook 2 routers mutually, cellular information superhighway dongles or only shifting the PS3 closer to the router. Failing which you will touch the PS3 team during the information superhighway web site.

I have an 80GB system and the only problem I have with it is that it's loud. The fans run really noisy. Sony says there is nothing they can do.
