In the bible it says God will never give you more than you can handle or let you get into a situation that is more than you can bear. Why then do we sin if we could actually have handled the situation. If God knew in advance we would sin then he knew we could not handle it. Please no blasphemous answers. this is a genuine question.

Dear Brother Alarafan

The verse you are talking about is in Holy Book Quran and not in Bible.

2:286. On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

Now read the whole Verse and pray yourself as said:

"Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us.Aameen

Again God Allah says in Holy quran:

23:115 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?”

16: 56. I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.

11:7. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct.

Again to test Us there should be both Good and Bad before us to rate us on our choice and performance, so Satan Iblis is appointed by Allah for it, who misguides us, as said by Allah:

19:83 ART THOU NOT aware that We have let loose all [manner of] satanic forces upon those who deny the truth - [forces] that impel them [towards sin] with strong impulsion?

59:16 the like of [what happens] when Satan says unto man, “Deny the truth!” - but as soon as [man] has denied the truth, [Satan] says, “Behold, I am not responsible for thee: behold, I fear God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!”

Now Brother if at all you err, Ask Pardon from Allah as He is the Most Beneficent and Most merciful, as sdaid:

39: 53. Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

May God Allah Guide All of Us towards Straight Path and to Reward us Jannah Heaven Aameen.

When God says that He won't put more on us than we can bare, He means that even though you may go through some of the worst trials, or get into some of the worst situations, you are still here. I don't know about you, but since you just typed this question about 2 minutes ago, I don't think you are dead yet, so He has not put more on you than you can bare. We are weak as humans. If it were up to us, we would always say that God put more on us than we can bare, but the Bible says that we can not be weary in our will doing. We sin, because we have been sinning since Adam and Eve. We are all born in sin and shaped in iniquity. We sin from the womb. In short, we sin because we want to. Life is a learning experience. What are we supposed to do one earth, while we are here, besides learn. Just like school. You start in kindergarten, but you eventually make it to twelfth grade if you want to and if you work hard. It is all up to us to decide what we want to do. Only lazy Christians and lazy people, defile God by saying that He overburdens us, when we so clearly get ourselves into to the troubles we have. Remember there is another option if you don't trust God. You know it!

Free will. Just because you can handle a situation doesn't mean that you *will*. Adam and Eve sinned because they chose to, not because they couldn't help it. Adam and Eve didn't have a sinful nature to weaken them before The Fall.

Because of their choice, we all have sinful nature and sin everyday. I'm just so thankful that we have such a forgiving God! :)

BY THE WAY - what God means by saying He will never give you more than what you can bear, He means that there will be nothing you can't get through (With Him at your side). It doesn't mean you won't sin.

I could be going through a tough time and make plenty of mistakes along the way, but I can still *make it through* with the help of my Savior. <3

He also always provides a way of escape during temptation. We can *choose* to be strong and resist or succumb to it, either way, God provides a way out, whether we sin or not. There is a way.

May God give your mind understanding. :) Merry Christmas!

you are right. G-d does not give a test to a person the cannot handle it. that's why if you are going through a hard time you know that you can handle it. people sin because the evil inclination is sometimes stronger than the good inclination. the satan is very smart and knows how to entrap a person into sinning. if you want to do something your not supposed to you will have thoughts..."oh it's not so bad" "so what if I do it" that is your evil inclination talking. G-d gave us free will so we can decide to do good or evil. G-d gives us tests in life and if we pass we get reward in the next world. G-d loves us so much He wants us to get as much reward as possible. It is brought down that when we do something evil the satan is not happy about it. when we feel guilty it means the satan is telling G-d about are evil act. obviously G-d already knows we sinned but the satan tells G-d "look how bad he or she is" "he or she should be punished" and so on. G-d loves us so much that he tries to defend us but the satan was created as the means of reward and punishment. G-d will punish us although he is patient and waits for us to repent.

As a Christian, I believe the bible scripture that says 'He will not test you beyond what you can bear without giving you a way of escape'. It's not quite that, but that's the idea. So, it's the escape here. I wonder if you could be not taking the routes of escape?? You mentioned impatient? Could God be leading you to master more in your life? Consider the young, frisky and terribly rebellious mule that is to start to help out and carry things. Hmmm. How many times will the people have to stop, readjust the load as the young mule bucks and tries to bite and so on? Yet we have to teach that mule how to behave so we get help from it. I think, if you look at your situations, you will see they are teaching you things, helping you to change. Maybe you require a lot???

That's an excellent point. If mankind had the ability to handle all the stress and burdens of life through belief in the Christian God alone, then God wouldn't have created psychology and psychotropic substances and psych treatments and counselors. Of course, Christianity never acknowledges this, choosing instead to blame Satan for all the mental problems people have. It's like in the old days people thought reaction to mustard gas was the work of a demon.

Well the Bible also says that He will give us a way of escape it is in 1st Corinthians 10:13. It is up to us to find the way to escape a situation that we feel that we cannot handle. From experience I've learned that we must pray to God and ask God to strengthened us to avoid sin and to sustain is in various situations.

In the Garden, Jesus asked God to "remove this cup" from him, but then said, "Not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22: 42).

He suffered so much in that garden, weeping blood from his pores... but he still went through with it, and came out the other side, with the miraculous results for the rest of mankind.

On the cross, he cried, "My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?" This seems to me like he found his sufferings hard to bear, but the results of his suffering saved the whole of mankind, and his resurrection was glorious. His rewards were eternal, which he now enjoys.

The same is true of our own sufferings.

** It is true that God won't allow us to be tempted without giving us a way out... Sometimes we're not listening when he tells us the way out. (Such as that "still small voice" telling us not to take on a male room-mate.) He knows our weaknesses, and tries to warn us. That said, you don't know what good might have resulted from this "mistake" of yours. It's better not to judge....

If you don't like your situation, take steps to change it. It takes many steps to become a certain kind of person. You've taken many steps to get to where you are... now maybe it is time to take some steps towards obtaining the financial security that you need.

Now that you have a child, money is important. You kind of found that out a bit late, but you're not stupid or anything... we all make mistakes like that, and can learn from experience. You can still take steps to remedy the problem (of being financially stressed).

Note: If your child was born in England, doesn't that mean you now have an easier way to claim citizenship?

Well, the whole point is that WE CANT DO IT..just as Jesus needed the Heavenly Father to carry out his work and mission, so do we. Jesus did not carry out anything on His own, He received the help of the Holy Spirit, He prayed to God and God did the work IN HIM and THROUGH Him....This is our example. We can't do it, but Christ has already done it FOR US. So if we believe in that, and look to Him then it's done. Why should I struggle with sin when Christ defeated it at the cross? Think about it. It's simple but it's profound!

We sin in that situation because we are weak and we make the wrong choice. Even though He knew in advance that we would choose to give in to our weakness, He provided the experience to give us the chance to make the right choice because He knows it is within us. I really do believe that He will never give us more than we can handle, and He just keeps slinging experiences at us until we are strong enough to realize we have it within us to make the right choice. Don't worry, He is merciful and patient, don't despair...only Christ was perfect!
