Most manufactures have decided to stop adding decent audio, as a home theater has replaced, the audio in most applications. This is why you are dissatisfied with the audio you have.

There are many systems and components at all price points, ranging from the curious to the high performance. I would recommend some light reading to let you know exactly what is out there as well as a little history of the home theater.

A home theater will improve your experience immensely!
Most TVs come equipped with at best average speakers that are set very close together and provide a limited stereo only sound field. A receiver will allow you to listen to minimum 5.1 surround sound that can be manipulated and "tuned" to suite your ear, room and personal preferences. In addition a receiver gives you capability to add additional components, manipulate the sound fields and switch between other external components. Speakers come infinite styles, sizes and ability. TV speakers are typically paper cones and cant reproduce the sound effectively. New high tech speakers will allow you hear tones and sounds that before were not there before. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

properly, there are various good solutions and assistance here on your solutions. Like continuously, (regrettably), you will ought to repair issues out and attempt to appreciate what's authentic and not so authentic. My very own adventure is which you'll have a line conditioner to circumvent static electric powered or stray electric powered ask your self from happening. in case you reside close to a power station that's particularly authentic! remember you will get surge protectors and then back line conditioners. So what's the adaptation? the adaptation is that not all line conditioners are going to particularly save the surge down besides as thier genuine activity that is to stabilize the present going to and into the electrical powered/digital ingredient. meaning that in case you run a surge protector then a line conditioner you would be safer than sorry. you will thank me interior the long-term too! I even have countless high priced audio kit. it fairly is definitely taken care of as i discussed above! Oh, and particular they are able to ok clean up the sound of your music and such! because of the fact of this studios and radio stations use them! desire This helps!

I'm going through the same thing. We bought a new high def LCD TV and a BluRay player and, yes, the picture is great, but the sound sucks. I'm assuming I will have to buy a home theater system and toss the DVD player that comes with it.

Surely; even because the DVDs and the digital broadcastings offer the DTS/Dolby Digital 5.1 audio which need a multi speakers system to be performed at the best.
Don't choose a too cheap model and ask, if possible, to listen a sound performance before purchase it.
If choose a good firma system (Pioneer, Sony, etc.) I think that you have to be sure that it will satisfy you.

Yes. Figure on spending at least as much on the home theater sound as you did on the display, if not more.

If you're handy with carpentry, consider building your own subwoofer(s); you can get a lot more boom for your buck that way. Google diy subwoofers and you should find something, or places like creativesound.ca or partsexpress.com will sell you kits with construction plans.

Yes. And it will cost a decent chunk of change to do it if you want it on par with the rest of your decent set up. No BOSE.
