Check out the questioner's reply to Ricky T where the questioner actually states that there is no difference between racism and being against illegal immigration:

Red Angel: read Ricky T's answer which says there IS a difference, then read Javi's response which says, "Ricky T... there is no difference..."

It's sad that you are too slow to put that together for yourself. I'm embarrassed for you, really.

Why they must be - along with all the black Americans who are against it. Too bad we don't have a smarter group of invaders to debate with - this playground chatter gets old quick.

It seems to be that if your against illegal immigration, you are a racist.

I think the people (US Citizens) would not be so pissed off about the illegal immigration issues if it was not costing tax payers $200+ Billion a year, of which 1/2 goes to law enforcement/ prison costs due to criminal activities by some illegals. In CA, over 50% of the people in state prison are illegal to the US.

Most Americans do not want a socialist society where people who don't work or pay taxes get tax payer money. It's really an economic issue, not a people issue.

Securing our borders is essential for national security. Published reports since 9-11 have suggested that people have entered the US illegally who are from counties that are on the US State Department's list of Terrorist Sponsored Nations. This should concern everyone in the US - legal or not.

No, their legal Americans, and it is my understanding that they don't like illegal ALIENS because they have worked hard to become legal citizens, and ILLEGAL ALIENS are a embarrassment to this particular group you speak of. LET'S ALL GET THIS STRAIGHT. There is no such thing as a illegal immigrant, it is a deceiving word that the Clinton administration came up with to cover their surge of 10 million illegals into this Country during his term. Unable to process them has caused us disease, high crime rate, poverty, identity theft and so on. I don't agree with the President about border issues, but then I'm sure that there are circumstances surrounding this issue that were created by the previous administration which would keep the President from acting on this matter. I too am very frustrated, but I stand behind his decisions.

Apparently so, in the minds of some. I have heard the ugly epithet "coconut" (brown on the outside, white on the inside) used to describe Hispanics who do not tow the "amnesty" line.

To deem upholding the law racism, and "treason" against one's "race," is profoundly insulting, and a symptom of a governmentat worldview that is NOT compatible with America's ideals.

It's also pathetic, if this is the only argument some people have.

No one who is against illegal immigration is racist based solely on the fact that we want the laws of our country to be followed. I have no problem with legal Mexican-Americans. I have a problem with the illegal ones.

No not all people that are against illegal immigration are racist....but we have to be realistic....some are and they hide behind that pretense "of being against illegal immigration" to support their actions and or beliefs....I hate to counter a question with a question...but....Don't you think that it would be interesting to have an actual figure on how many of those "Mexican Americans" who are against illegal immigration were born to illegal immigrants themselves?

The thing is, "ILLEGAL IMIGRANT" is NOT a race. So all these people on here blasting other people against ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and calling them RACIST are just showing how ignorant they really are.

They are racist...the Mexicans don't like the illegals coming from El Salvador and other places south of Mexico.

Plus the ones here now don't want any more coming in...because the new ones will work for less than the ones here already....then they will lose their jobs to another illegal.

No they're not racist at all. They probably just feel that since they went through all the trouble to migrate legally, why shouldn't everyone else. I would feel the same way if I were them.

What if an Asian American is against illegal aliens...are they racist?

What if a European American is against illegal aliens...are they racist?

What if a Canadian American is against illegal aliens...are they racist?

What if a Mexican...living in Mexico is against illegal aliens in their country...are they racist??

What if a African American is against illegal aliens...are they racist?

What if a Caucasian American is against illegal aliens...are they racist?

What if a....well...you get the picture.

ANYBODY can be against illegal aliens...it doesn't make you a racist.

As a poster above said...pros certainly don't have logic on their side. They don't have the laws...of ANY country on their side. All they have to throw around is the race card...pathetic.

I highly doubt they're racist. That's a word that has lost all meaning in this forum. It gets bandied around by both sides and has no bearing on illegal immigration to most.
