Who is telling you that anyone is offended? I know atheists, Muslims and Jews and none of them are offended by a Christian telling saying Merry Christmas. It's pointless to get defensive over an issue that doesn't exist, except in the mind of someone like Bill O'Reilly.

No. It's just letting people know that your celebrating the birth of Christ. There wouldn't even be a holiday if it weren't for the birth of Christ ,So rejoice and Merry Christmas to you too.

"Christmas" only has the letter "S" twice, not 3 times.
Merry Christmas to you, Merry Christmas to you, Merry Chrismas to yooooooooooooooou, Merry Christmas to you!
Happy Christmas?
Merry New Year?
Merry Ho-Ho?
The options are interesting yes?

Our way of life is in peril from being too politically correct.
@dded : I am more offended by the fact that big business is shoving Christmas down our throats earlier every year.

I suppose that depends on the tone they deliver it in. Some people say "Merry Christmas" and it sounds exactly like "Go to hell." Those people have forgotten what Christmas is about. Peace on Earth, GOODWILL towards men.
Merry Christmas to you and those you care about.

i'm not but atheists(and many others) are, so like it or not their belief and feelings should be considered if you're as righteous as i appear to think you are. Maybe if you're so tolerant that you're ok with someone preaching stuff like Jesus was no more than a magician at best to you all day long you'd have a leg to stand on, but somehow i doubt it.

I'd much rather hear Merry Christmas, or Happy Kwanzaa, or Happy Hanukkah than Happy Holidays. We live in America- say whatever it is that you want, or say nothing. But please don't try to lump them all together under Happy Holidays.
Each one is special to different people and should be treated as such.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas

i'm getting indignant, because of the fact Christmas has no longer something to do with Jesus. in case you look up its origins, it replaced into no longer celebrated by utilising the apostles after Jesus' loss of lifestyles. in certainty it replaced into hundreds of years later that it replaced into instituted. Christmas is consistent with varies pagan celebrations blended. Constatine threw Jesus in there, just to united Christians and Pagans. Jesus did no longer approve of pagan traditions (one in all which replaced into offering up babies as sacrifices) and does no longer have needed his call linked with any ingredient of pagan occasion.. think of for a minute that folk celebrated Martin Luther King Junior birthday on the day of a Klu Klux Klan chief. additionally on his birthday all and sundry could walk around in white hoods and say that it had to do with something that Martin Luther King supported. no longer basically could or no longer it extremely is ironic, yet in addition ridiculous.... it extremely is in certainty what Christmas does with Jesus. in case you particularly love Jesus, you will inspect the beginning place of Christmas... could Jesus elect his call tied with pagan celebrations? Who have been the pagans? What style of issues did they do? will we even care approximately what Jesus could think of? Are traditions extra considerable than their meanings?
