You could face a fine, and have to pay towing and storage fees to get your car back. It could cost you several hundred dollars.

If your car is getting towed then it's going to the local car compound. You'll need to pay a fee to get it out again, which isn't cheap. In addition, you may also receive a fine for being parked in a place where you shouldn't have been, depending on your country and city. I think it's more likely that you'll just get a fine in the post for incorrect parking, though.
Basically, try not to do this, it really isn't worth the expense or the fuss.

First off...they rarely get towed unless the sign states violators will be towed.
A car was towed from a ' No Parking Zone ' and it didn't have a sign stating it could be towed. The owner sued the city for damages and violation of his constitutional rights. He WON...his rights to have a trail for being illegally parked were violated....since his car should have only gotten a ticket...but instead was towed leaving him afoot...and without the freedom to move around.

if they got towed, then you have to pick up your car from the towing area and pay a huge amount for them to release it. Mostly 200 for the first day. If you leave it in the towing area for more than five days then expect to pay a lot. If your car did not get towed and instead a police caught you, then you can get a ticket that sometimes cost up to 150 or just a warning. or yuou can get both ticket and towed... too darn bad if both happens...

The vehicle gets impounded, then you're responsible for paying the tow and impound fees. After that, you will go to traffic court if you contest the charge (a rather stupid thing, given that photos & video surveillance can be taken proving the parking offence). If you don't take it to court, you will pay whatever fine is levied in your community mandates for doing so. Your driving record will have points assessed.

You would have to pay the fine to get your car out of impound and possibly a towing fee. Then you will also have a ticket issued by the municipality where you got it. Could cost a couple hundred dollars.

Are you saying they changed it over the weekend?? If so, I'd think you could take them to court if that was the case. Unfortunately, it would probably be a lost cause since it would cost you more money to fight to get your money back. If he was just parked in the wrong spot...and there were no signs posted, it would be iffy....your lease may state where visitors can and cannot park and in that case - they got ya. I think I'd fight another place to move, sounds like too much drama from the people who don't like renters. Best of luck to you tho.

It sits in the tow yard until you claim it. It incurs a daily charge that can range anywhere from $20-$100+ a day until you go get it.
