You get BAH while you are working, but Reserve members aren't given on-base housing or paid for the entire month unless you're on orders. Mostly it gets pro-rated.

Active duty who DO NOT live in base housing (to include dorms) recieve a monthly housing allowance the amount of which depends on their rank and where the base is located. As an example I was recieving about $800 a month as a low ranking enlisted airman in oklahoma.
My understanding is, the reserves pays the the housing allowance only when your 'activated' or 'on duty'. Meaning, during your one weekend a month I believe you get paid for 2 days of housing allowance. And if you are deployed somewhere you would recieve the housing allowance as would an active duty member to pay for your home while your away. However, you would NOT recieve the full monthly amount just for working your one weekend.

energetic accountability -- you will could survive base interior the dorms until eventually you're an E-4 or E-5, discern 3 years minimum time interior the Air rigidity ( except you're married ) At maximum bases, you may no longer even pass off base, in case you pay for it your self, until eventually now you're a E-4. Reserves : - The reserves do no longer grant housing or a housing allowance. interior the reserves, you've gotten a wide-unfold activity to help your self and grant your guy or woman housing.

Yes but you have to be on active duty orders for longer than 30 consecutive days to qualify for it.
